PROTECTIVE AND CUSTODIAL SERVICE TO CHILDREN AND YOUTH UNDER DIFFICULT CIRCUMSTANCES The service involves provision of assistance in terms of protective and custodial service to children and youth who are under difficult circumstances. The service is available to the following: Street children Abandoned/neglected children Physical abused children Sexually abused children/youth Victims of r**e, in**st, or act of lasciviousness Emotionally abused children/youth AVAILING OF EMERGENCY DISASTER RELIEF ASSISTANCE In times of calamities, the MSWDO in coordination with its partner agencies and offices provides appropriate assistance to the victims. Assistance may be in the form of cash, relief goods and food stuff or housing materials. Counseling shall also be provided to those emotionally and psychologically depressed individuals or families. Requirement(s) In case of fire or typhoon: Certification from the Bureau of Fire Protection, in case of fire Police Blotter Certification from the Barangay Captain Certificate of Residency from the Barangay Captain SECURING SOCIAL CASE STUDY (SCS) REPORT The Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office prepare Social Case Study (SCS) Report of individuals needing medical assistance. This document is required by the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO), government hospitals, Non-Government Organizations (NGOs), and other charitable institution from their client as a reference in providing donation or appropriate medical assistance. AVAILMENT OF ASSISTANCE TO ABUSED WOMEN One of the functions of the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO) is to promote the welfare of socially disadvantaged women. The office provides assistance to women who are battered, maltreated, emotionally disturbed and victims of r**e, sexual abuse, or involuntary prostitution. AVAILMENT OF ASSISTANCE IN CRISIS SITUATION (AICS) The Municipal Social welfare and Development Office (MSWDO) provides assistance, in the form of cash or in kind, to indigent individuals and families in crisis or difficult situation in the community.The Assistance In Crisis Situation (AICS) covers the following situations: Burial assistance, in the form of cash and/or in kind Cash assistance to indigents needing immediate medical attention Transportation and food assistance, in the form of cash and food stuff, to passengers stranded within the municipality Requirements Death Certificate and Burial Assistance Doctor’s prescription or hospital bill for medical assistance Steps to be followed to avail of the service SECURING CERTIFICATE OF INDIGENCY The Municipal Social welfare and Development Office issues Certificate of Indigency to indigent individuals for them to be qualified to avail legal, medical and educational assistance from various agencies or institutions. Requirements For legal assistance Certificate of Indigency from the Barangay Captain Certification of Non-Ownership of real Properties from the Municipal Assessor’s Office For medical and educational assistance Medical/clinical abstract from the doctor Estimated expenses to be incurred by client while on the process of treatment 4P’S AND IP’S POTENTIAL BENEFICIARIES The Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO) is the office mandated to deliver social services to the selected Potential Beneficiaries of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4P’s) of this municipality. AVAILMENT OF SENIOR CITIZENS SERVICES The Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO) mandated to deliver services to all registered and qualified members of the Senior Citizens of this municipality. The purpose of this service is to provide ID’s and privileges intended for them.
