FROM MEETINGS TO MATTERS THAT MATTER

For two days as Officer-in-Charge (OIC), SB Member Dian Jaycerett Dayag remained actively engaged in various activities of the Local Government Unit of Aparri under the administration of Mayor Dominador “Ambo” Dayag.

Her engagements included the flag ceremony and introduction of the new OIC Chief of Police, PMAJ VILMORE D MALLILLIN; the NIA consultation hearing for the East Apayao-Abulug Irrigation System Extension Project; the visit of the OIC Police Chief to the Municipal Mayor’s Office; the engagement with ARTA, DILG Region 02, and DICT representatives; and the 3rd Quarter Local Advisory Meeting of DSWD.

These activities highlight her continued support and active participation in programs and initiatives aimed at ensuring responsive and continuous public service for the people of Aparri.

**APARRI TOURISM LEADS COASTAL CLEAN-UP DRIVE FOR TOURISM MONTH 2026**

As part of the Tourism Month Celebration 2026 and the 2026 International Coastal Cleanup, the LGU-Aparri, under the leadership of Mayor Dominador “Ambo” Dayag, through the Aparri Tourism Office, conducted a Coastal Clean-Up Drive at DENR Beach, Barangay Punta, Aparri, Cagayan.

The activity was initiated by the Aparri Tourism Office, headed by Tourism Officer Marilou V. Cabauatan, in partnership with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), led by Regional Executive Director Atty. Ismael T. Manaligod.

The clean-up brought together government agencies, uniformed personnel, schools, private organizations, civil society groups, and community members, with a Zumba presentation also held as part of the activity.

The initiative promotes environmental awareness, community participation, and the protection of Aparri’s coastal and marine resources.

Nakiisa ang ating butihing Mayor Dominador Ambo Dayag sa Send-Off Ceremony para kay PMAJ JUNNEIL A PEREZ, Chief of Police ng Aparri Police Station, bilang pagkilala sa kanyang naging serbisyo at pamumuno sa pagpapanatili ng kapayapaan at kaayusan sa Bayan ng Aparri.

Personal na pinasalamatan ni Mayor Dayag si PMAJ Perez sa kanyang dedikasyon, maayos na paglilingkod, at mga naging hakbang sa pagpapatupad ng peace and order initiatives sa bayan. Binigyang-diin din ng Punong Bayan ang kahalagahan ng kanyang maayos na pakikipag-ugnayan sa lokal na pamahalaan at sa komunidad.

Dumalo rin sa seremonya sina Sangguniang Bayan Member Hon. Dian Jaycerette Dayag at Municipal Tourism Officer Marilou V. Cabauatan, na kapwa miyembro ng Municipal Advisory Group (MAG).

Sa pagtatapos ng kanyang assignment sa Aparri, nagpaabot ang LGU-Aparri ng pasasalamat kay PMAJ Perez para sa kanyang serbisyo at hangad ang patuloy na tagumpay sa kanyang susunod na tungkulin.

Bumista sa tanggapan ni Mayor Dominador “Ambo” Dayag ang mga bagong itinalagang Acting School Heads ng Fuga Island Integrated School at Sanja Elementary School ng Aparri South District.

Kabilang dito sina Rommel U. Sacramento, Teacher III ng Aparri East National High School, na itinalagang Acting School Head ng Fuga Island Integrated School, at Roel A. Villasanta, Master Teacher I at NASH Passer mula sa Sanchez Mira School of Arts and Trades, na itinalagang Acting School Head ng Sanja Elementary School.

Ang kanilang pagkakatalaga ay ipinatupad ng Schools Division Office of Cagayan sa pamamagitan ng Schools Division Superintendent Reynante Z. Caliguiran, at agad itong naging epektibo.

Kasama rin sa courtesy call si Public Schools District Supervisor (PSDS) Ms. Judith D. Baclig, Ph.D.
Sa kanilang pagbisita, tinalakay ang mga usaping may kaugnayan sa pamamahala ng mga paaralan at pagpapatuloy ng mga programa at serbisyo para sa mga mag-aaral at komunidad ng Aparri.

NIPA INDUSTRY IN APARRI, SET FOR FURTHER DEVELOPMENT

Representatives from Mariano Marcos State University (MMSU) and Cagayan State University–Aparri (CSU-Aparri) met with Municipal Mayor Dominador “Ambo” J. Dayag to discuss opportunities for further developing Aparri’s nipa industry.

The discussion focused on the improvement of the Nipa Processing Facility (Nipa Distillery) in Barangay Navagan and the promotion of nipa-based products such as Nipa W**e, Nipahol (Nipa Alcohol), and Nipa Vinegar for the local market and potential eco-tourism initiatives.

The meeting also provided an avenue to exchange ideas and explore possible collaboration among the LGU-Aparri, MMSU, and CSU-Aparri toward strengthening the nipa industry and creating greater opportunities for the local community.
