Provincial department heads and representatives from various offices convened for a Management Committee Meeting presided over by Vice Governor Kyle Mariah Chelsea S. Bulut-Cunan on October 19, 2026, at the Session Hall of the Paul A. Delwasen Legislative Building to deliberate on year-end programs, administrative priorities, and preparations for Fiscal Year 2027.
Among the principal matters discussed was the proposed β±20-million budget for Pamaskong Handog 2026, intended to prioritize barangays that have not received assistance under the program during the past three years, subject to applicable budgetary and administrative requirements.
The Committee likewise reviewed preparations for the 2026 Provincial Indigenous Peoplesβ Month Celebration, scheduled for October 26β27, 2026, with approximately 2,400 delegates expected to participate in various cultural competitions and activities involving the provinceβs seven municipalities.
Other matters taken up included the updated guidelines for the Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG), the implementation of the Local Government Support Fund, updates on rice distribution, preparations for Provincial Heroes Day, the status of the proposed 2027 Provincial Budget, and the submission of required reports and compliance documents.
The Committee also addressed the reported occurrence of African Swine Fever (ASF) in the Municipality of Luna, emphasizing the need for coordinated preventive measures, strengthened disease surveillance, and appropriate containment interventions among concerned offices to mitigate the risk of further transmission.
To ensure the timely and orderly implementation of provincial programs, concerned offices were directed to coordinate schedules, establish implementation timelines, and comply with the documentary and administrative requirements for the remaining activities in 2026 and the initial programs proposed for 2027.
