🌊 Coastal Clean-Up Activity | Apo Island 🌿

The Barangay & SK Council of Apo Island proudly joined and participated in the Coastal Clean-Up Activity held in Apo Island, organized by the Provincial Tourism Office of Negros Oriental.

This meaningful initiative was made possible through the collective efforts of the Provincial Tourism staff, Dauin Tourism Staff, DAUIN LGU, the Negros Oriental Diving Association (NORDA), the Apo Island Snorkeling and Equipment Rental and Guide Association (AISERGA), our men and women in uniform from the PNP, PCG, and PA, the Apo Island Protected Landscape and Seascape (AIPLS) staff, the Department of Environment and Natural Resources – NIR (DENR-NIR), Brgy. & SK Council, the Apo Island Youth, and the active participation of the Apo Island community.

Together, we continue to protect and preserve the beauty of our marine environment for future generations.

In celebration of Environment Month, we joined the Coastal Clean-Up Activity at Kan-Uran Beach organized by DENR Negros Oriental–Apo Island. Together with the Apo Island Protected Landscape and Seascape (AIPLS) Staff, Zero Waste Workers, Barangay Officials Kagawad Pinky Bolingot and Kagawad Gerry T. Mendez, SK Chairman Phel Alexes H. Ausejo, Philippine Coast Guard, Philippine National Police (Represented by the Tourist Police), Philippine Army (Represented by the CAA), and OJT Biology Students from NORSU, we gathered to collect ocean drift and help keep our coastline clean and protected.

This meaningful activity reminds us that caring for our environment is a shared responsibility. Thank you, DENR Negros Oriental–Apo Island, for inviting us to be part of this worthwhile initiative. Today, we conducted a clean-up activity along Sanctuary Street together with SK Chair Alexes, SK Member Angelo, Barangay Secretary Nesiel, and Barangay Health Workers Esterlita, Marj-Bebe, Jonalyn, and Michelle. 🇵🇭 128th Philippine Independence Day Celebration 🇵🇭

Today, we proudly commemorate and celebrate the 128th Philippine Independence Day by having a Flag Raising Ceremony at Apo Island Port in honoring the courage, sacrifice, and patriotism of our heroes who fought for the freedom we enjoy today.

This meaningful celebration was made possible through the unity, cooperation, and idea of the Philippine Coast Guard, Philippine National Police, Philippine Army, Protected Area Management Board (PAMB) Staff, Barangay Health Workers (BHW), AISERGA members and the officials of Barangay Apo Island.

Together with P02 Ralph Q. Pino PCG (Deputy Commander, CGSS Apo Island), Tourist Police Isagani Fortich of PNP, CAFGU Active Auxiliary Clyde Mirabona of PA, SK Chairman Phel Alexes Ausejo, SK Member Rona Jane M. Mendiola, Barangay Kagawad George Regalado, Barangay Treasurer Maria Anna Cielo D. Obemio, Barangay Secretary Nesiel Omilig, and Esterlita Tampon (BHW), we proudly raised our flag as a symbol of our nation’s sovereignty, resilience, and unity.

As we commemorate this historic day, may we continue to uphold the values of freedom, service, and love for our country.

Brigada Eskwela 2026 | “Bayanihan para sa Matatag na Paaralan”

Today, we proudly participated and rendered our time in support of Brigada Eskwela 2026 at Apo Elementary School. Together with Barangay Treasurer Maria Anna Cielo D. Obemio and Barangay Secretary Nesiel Omilig, we joined hands in helping prepare the school for another meaningful and productive school year.

Today, we joined the opening of Brigada Eskwela at Apo Island High School with the theme, “Bayanihan sa Paaralan: Nagkakaisa para sa Kaayusan at Kaalaman.”
