Livelihood Assistance Payout for Exited 4Ps Beneficiaries and Solo Parents

The Local Government unit of Aritao through the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO), in partnership with Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) , successfully conducted the Livelihood Assistance Payout for qualified Exited Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) beneficiaries and Solo Parents with existing livelihood enterprises.

The activity aims to provide financial support to beneficiaries in sustaining and expanding their existing livelihood projects, enabling them to become more self-reliant, productive, and financially resilient. This initiative reflects the LGU's continued commitment to uplifting the lives of vulnerable sectors by promoting inclusive and sustainable economic opportunities.

National Disability Rights Week

The Local Government Unit of Aritao proudly joined the celebration of the National Disability Rights Week on July 22, 2026, at the Aritao Municipal Plaza, embracing this year's theme: “Rights First, Legislation Forward – Strategic Action for Equal Participation and Inclusive Development.”

Spearheaded by the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO) under the leadership of Marlon A. Guzman, RSW, the celebration reaffirmed the municipality's commitment to upholding the rights, welfare, and dignity of every person with disability.

The program was graced by the presence of our municipal officials led by Hon. Remelina Peros-Galam, Municipal Mayor, and featured an inspiring message from Hon. Aura Bless Crisel Galindez, Chairperson of the Committee on Social Services, who emphasized the importance of creating a more inclusive and compassionate community for all.

The event was attended by SPED learners of Aritao and their dedicated teachers, Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) together with their federation presidents, and other valued members of the community.

Among the highlights of the celebration were:
✨ Awarding of Educational Supplies to SPED learners
✨ Distribution of Assistive Devices to PWDs and senior citizens
✨ Awarding of Livelihood Assistance to PWDs, and womens
✨ Serbisyong Pangmasa para sa May Kapansanan, which provided free haircuts, massage, manicure, and pedicure services by service providers.

In celebration of the National Disability Rights Week, the Local Government Unit of Aritao, through the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO) headed by Marlon A. Guzman, RSW, successfully conducted a Basic Sign Language Training for LGU employees, barangay officials, and representatives from various sectors on July 21, 2026, at the Senior Citizens' Hall.

The activity aimed to promote inclusivity, strengthen communication with the Deaf community, and encourage the delivery of more accessible and responsive public services. Participants were introduced to the fundamentals of sign language, equipping them with practical skills to better serve and communicate with persons with disabilities.

The event was graced by Hon. Aura Bless Crisel Galindez, Municipal Councilor and Chairperson of the Committee on Social Services, whose presence underscored the municipality's commitment to championing programs that uphold the rights, dignity, and welfare of persons with disabilities.

Our heartfelt appreciation goes to our resource speakers, Sir RickDension Vadil and Ma'am Victorina Milo from Bambang Integrated SPED Center, for generously sharing their knowledge, experiences, and passion for promoting inclusive communication.

🎉 WHAT IS OSAEC-CSAEM? 🎉
This National Children's Month, the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO) of Aritao joins the nationwide campaign to protect our children from Online Sexual Abuse and Exploitation of Children (OSAEC) and Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation Materials (CSAEM).
OSAEC-CSAEM refers to the sexual abuse and exploitation of children facilitated through digital platforms and the internet. This includes:
✅ Live-streaming of child sexual abuse
✅ Production and distribution of child sexual abuse materials
✅ Online grooming and sextortion
✅ Child sexual exploitation through webcams
🛡️ Let's work together to keep our children safe!
As parents, guardians, and community members, we must:
👁️ Monitor our children's online activities
💬 Talk openly about internet safety
📱 Teach children about appropriate online behavior
🚨 Report suspicious activities immediately

🎉 LAUNCHING OF 2025 NATIONAL CHILDREN'S MONTH! 🎊
The Municipality of Aritao, through the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office, officially launched the 2025 National Children's Month celebration during the flag ceremony at the Municipal Plaza last November 3, 2025!
This year's theme: "OSAEC-CSAEM WAKASAN: KALIGTASAN AT KARAPATAN NG BATA, IPAGLABAN!"
This celebration reminds us of our collective responsibility to protect, nurture, and empower every Filipino child. We stand united against Online Sexual Abuse and Exploitation of Children (OSAEC) and Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation Materials (CSAEM)! 👧👦
