♻️📊 Day 4 | Waste Analysis and Characterization Study (WACS)

The Waste Analysis and Characterization Study (WACS) is being conducted to determine the quantity, composition, and sources of waste generated within the community. The data gathered will serve as the basis for improving waste reduction, segregation, collection, recycling, and disposal programs of the municipality.

This activity is conducted pursuant to Republic Act No. 9003 (Ecological Solid Waste Management Act of 2000), which requires local government units to undertake WACS as part of developing and strengthening their Ecological Solid Waste Management Plan.

Through this initiative, the Municipality of Asturias continues its commitment to building a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable environment for present and future generations.

♻️📊 Day 3 | Waste Analysis and Characterization Study (WACS) continues in the 10 barangays of Asturias, conducted by MENRO staff together with VSU and CNU OJT students to support effective waste management and a cleaner environment.

Water Sampling Activity

The LGU–Asturias, through MENRO, conducted water sampling at five stations—Agtugop Spring, Manguaio Falls, and Tagbubonga Falls (upstream and downstream)—to monitor and safeguard our vital water resources.

This initiative is in line with the commitment of Mayor Dana Andrew M. Dumdum to protect and preserve Asturias’ water sources for present and future generations. 🌎💙
