The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) Province of Davao del Norte conducted a consultation meeting for the 2025-A Survey under the Support to Parcelization of Land for Individual Titling (SPLIT) Project in Asuncion, Davao del Norte on April 29, 2026.

The meeting aimed to orient beneficiaries on the survey process, address concerns through an open forum, and confirm their consent to proceed.

The activity was attended by DAR Provincial Office personnel led by CARPO-LTID Floradelfa I. Montes, with surveying staff Christina Tampon and DARMO-Asuncion representatives headed by MARPO Henry T. Marin. Also present were PARCOM representative Samuel Cardenio, contractor/surveyor Engr. Danilo Noveloso, Barangay Captains, BARC Chairpersons, and Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries (ARBs) whose landholdings are subject to the survey.

The upcoming survey will be conducted in eight (8) Barangays in Asuncion (Cambanogoy, Binancian, Buan, Magatos, Pamacaun, Camansa, Napungas and New Santiago), covering 13 landholdings with a total area of 67.1414 hectares.

The initiative underscores DAR’s commitment to transparency, collaboration, and active stakeholder participation in implementing the SPLIT Project, which aims to award individual land titles to qualified beneficiaries.

BARC Reorganization Conducted in Brgy. Camansa and Brgy. Sonlon, Asuncion, Davao del Norte

The Barangay Agrarian Reform Committee (BARC) Reorganization was successfully conducted on April 15, 2026, in the Municipality of Asuncion, Davao del Norte. The activity took place in the morning at Brgy. Camansa and in the afternoon at Brgy. Sonlon.

The activity was facilitated by the staff of MARO Asuncion, together with Ms. April Dyan Dacanay, BARC Focal Person from the Program Beneficiaries Development Division (PBDD) of the DAR Provincial Office. It was actively participated in by representatives from various community sectors in both barangays.

To ensure a fair and orderly election process, Ms. Girly J. Medillo, Teacher I from Camansa Elementary School, and Mr. Jay Ar Dave D. Tanguan, Head Teacher from Sonlon Elementary School, served as COMELEC Chairpersons in their respective barangays.

The program commenced with an orientation on the roles and functions of the BARC, followed by the election and oath-taking of the newly elected officers.

The reorganization of the BARC represents a vital step in strengthening grassroots participation and promoting the sustained and effective implementation of DAR programs at the community level.

The Department of Agrarian Reform – Province of Davao del Norte conducted a two (2)-day training on Simplified Bookkeeping and Cooperative Assessment Information System (CAIS) Orientation for assisted Agrarian Reform Beneficiary Organizations (ARBOs) of Asuncion on April 13–14, 2026, at the AVR Hall, Asuncion, Davao del Norte.

The activity aimed to enhance the knowledge and skills of ARBOs in maintaining accurate financial records and in understanding the proper use of accounting systems essential for efficient and transparent organizational operations.

Mr. Henry T. Marin delivered a message of encouragement to the ARBOs and took the opportunity to introduce himself as the new Municipal Agrarian Reform Program Officer (MARPO) of Asuncion.

The activity was conducted in collaboration with Kapalong Cooperative through its community service program, with Ms. Nanit Alonzo , Compliance Associate, serving as the resource speaker.

The successful conduct of this activity reflects the continued commitment of the DAR and its partners in strengthening ARBO capacities, fostering accountability, and promoting sustainable and transparent cooperative management for the benefit of their members and communities.

DARMO Asuncion conducted a courtesy call to Hon. Atty. Rosario Dayaday, Municipal Mayor of Asuncion on April 8, 2026.

The activity was attended by Engr. Melina Avila (Outgoing MARPO), Henry T. Marin (Incoming MARPO), and Floro Florasil Astillo (CARPO-PBDDD) from the DAR Provincial Office, together with DARMO staff.

This engagement aims to strengthen continued collaboration for the effective implementation of the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program (CARP) in the Municipality.
