Nestled in the cool, misty mountains of Atok, Benguet, the Northern Blossom Flower Farm served as a vibrant stop for delegates of the Philippine Experience Program (PEP): during the 2nd day of their journey through the Cordilleras on Friday (Oct. 24). Surrounded by a sea of colorful blooms and breathtaking mountain views, delegates experienced firsthand the serenity that makes the flower farm one of the regionโs most beloved destinations.
The visit highlighted Benguetโs vital efforts to preserve the regionโs floral tourism and natural beauty. The delegation explored the farm, capturing Instagram-worthy shots amid its variety of bloomsโsuch as cabbage roses, alstroemerias, hydrangeas, snapdragons, dusty miller, chamomile, and sunflowersโset against stunning mountain landscapes.
The tour also featured a hearty selection of Cordilleran delicacies that delegates delighted in, including lukto (a sweet-potato snack cooked with orange), chayote tempura, binubudan (fermented cassava), sinaig (three-day fermented rice), Barangay Nagueyโs 3-in-1 diket (Atokโs local rice cake), and kaka-ew (steamed cassava in banana leaves).
