NEGROS MOST WANTED NABBED IN EB MAGALONA R**E CASE OPERATION

The Philippine National Police, under the command of PGEN Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., arrested a Negros Most Wanted individual in Barangay I-Poblacion, EB Magalona, Negros Occidental at 5:16 PM on May 4, 2026, through a focused law enforcement operation conducted by the EB Magalona Municipal Police Station under the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office.

The suspect, listed as No. 4 Most Wanted Person in the Police Regional Office–Negros Island Region, was arrested by virtue of a warrant of arrest for five counts of Qualified R**e of a Minor, with no bail recommended. The accused was taken into custody and is now under the jurisdiction of the arresting unit for proper legal proceedings.

The operation reflects the continuing drive of the PNP to pursue individuals facing serious criminal charges, particularly those involved in offenses against minors. It also demonstrates the sustained presence of police units in ensuring that wanted persons are located and brought before the courts of law.

16 NABBED FOR ILLEGAL CABLE WIRE THEFT IN SAN JUAN; MINOR RESCUED

The Philippine National Police (PNP), through the joint efforts of the Eastern Police District and the San Juan City Police Station, arrested 16 individuals involved in the illegal cutting and hauling of underground copper cables in San Juan City in the early hours of May 5, 2026.

The operation was conducted at around 12:15 a.m. along Araullo Street, Barangay Addition Hills, following a tip from a concerned citizen. The suspects were caught in the act of cutting and loading the cables. Among those arrested was a 48-year-old male identified by the alias “Gabe,” while another individual believed to be the group’s leader, known as “Pipoy,” remains at large. A minor was also rescued during the operation.

Recovered from the suspects were underground copper cable wires owned by a telecommunications company with an estimated value of ₱456,159.49. Authorities also seized tools and equipment allegedly used in the activity, including a closed van, another vehicle, bolt cutters, steel bars, and other items used to access underground cable lines.

Charges for violation of Republic Act No. 10515 (Anti-Cable Television and Cable Internet Tapping Act of 2013) and theft under the Revised Penal Code are being prepared against the arrested individuals.

This operation forms part of the PNP’s intensified efforts under its Focused Agenda on Enhanced Managing Police Operations, reinforcing ongoing initiatives to protect critical infrastructure and public utilities. It also supports the broader directive of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. to ensure public safety and safeguard essential services.

PNP Chief, Police General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., commended the operating units for their swift and coordinated response.

“Hindi natin palalampasin ang mga ganitong gawain na nakakaapekto sa serbisyo at kapakanan ng ating mga kababayan. We will continue to act on credible reports and respond quickly to protect public interest,” he said.

PRESS STATEMENT ON LATEST OCTA RESEARCH SURVEY

Malugod na tinatanggap ng Philippine National Police (PNP) ang resulta ng pinakahuling Tugon ng Masa nationwide survey ng OCTA Research, kung saan nakapagtala ang organisasyon ng 63% trust rating at 61% satisfaction rating para sa unang bahagi ng taong 2026.

Nagpapasalamat ang PNP sa patuloy na tiwala at kumpiyansa ng mamamayang Pilipino. Ang nasabing resulta ay sumasalamin sa pagsisikap ng kapulisan na mapanatili ang kapayapaan at kaayusan, maipatupad ang batas, at maprotektahan ang mga komunidad.

Para sa PNP, ang survey na ito ay nagsisilbing paalala at inspirasyon upang lalo pang pagbutihin ang pagbibigay-serbisyo at patuloy na maisabuhay ang layunin ng isang Bagong PNP para sa Bagong Pilipinas: Serbisyong Mabilis, Tapat, at Nararamdaman.

PNP NABS ILOILO’S MOST WANTED PERSON IN R**E CASE

RANK 1 REGIONAL MOST WANTED IN BICOL CAPTURED IN CAVITE

Bicol’s Rank 1 Most Wanted Person was captured in Cavite following an intensified manhunt operation conducted by the Police Regional Office 5 (PRO 5).

The arrest was carried out on May 5, 2026, in Barangay Limbon, Indang, Cavite through a joint operation led by the Casiguran Municipal Police Station under the Sorsogon Police Provincial Office. Assisting units included RIU5 PIT Sorsogon, Indang MPS, and Naic MPS of Cavite PPO.

The accused, identified by the alias “Joe,” is a 47-year-old native of Sorsogon. He is facing a charge of murder, a non-bailable offense.

PRO 5 NABS BICOL’S RANK 3 MOST WANTED IN ZAMBOANGA DEL NORTE AFTER 4 YEARS IN HIDING

After four years of evading the law, the Police Regional Office 5 (PRO 5) arrested its Rank 3 Regional Most Wanted Person as a result of sustained anti-criminality operations.

The arrest was carried out on May 5, 2026, at around 4:00 PM in Gutalac, Zamboanga del Norte through a coordinated joint operation. The Masbate 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company served as the lead unit, in collaboration with the Provincial Intelligence Unit – Provincial Police Drug Enforcement Unit, Uson Municipal Police Station, all under Masbate Police Provincial Office, along with the Anti-Kidnapping Group – Mindanao Field Unit Headquarters Sibugay Tracker Team, Gutalac MPS, and the 97th Infantry Battalion, 1st Infantry Division of the Philippine Army.

The warrant of arrest was served against the accused, identified by the alias “Nestor,” 46 years old, and a resident of Gutalac, Zamboanga del Norte. He is facing a charge of murder, a non-bailable offense.

Authorities emphasized that the successful operation was the result of persistent intelligence gathering, close inter-agency coordination, and the unwavering commitment of law enforcement units to track down wanted individuals regardless of location.

The arrested accused is now under the custody of Masbate 2nd PMFC and PIU-PPDEU and will be turned over to Uson MPS for proper disposition and legal proceedings.

RANK 4 MOST WANTED OF PRO 9 COLLARED IN BICOL

Through decisive leadership, sustained intelligence-driven operations, and intensified anti-criminality efforts, the Police Regional Office 5 (PRO 5) spearheaded a successful joint law enforcement operation that led to the arrest of the Police Regional Office 9 (PRO 9) Rank 4 Most Wanted Person in Bicol, particularly in Talisay, Camarines Norte, on May 5, 2026.

The operation, initiated by PRO 5 in close coordination with partner police units and support forces, reflects the region’s strengthened campaign against wanted persons and its unwavering commitment to ensure that fugitives are brought to justice, regardless of the length of time they have been evading arrest.

The arrest was carried out through a coordinated effort led by personnel of Talisay MPS, together with the Provincial Intelligence Unit, 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company, all under Camarines Norte Police Provincial Office, the 503rd Marine Company of the Regional Mobile Force Battalion 5, Camarines Norte Maritime Police Station, Dumalinao MPS, and the PIU of Zamboanga del Sur PPO. The team implemented the service of a warrant of arrest issued by the court on November 10, 2021.

The accused, identified by the alias “Bon,” is a 36-year-old native of Siquijor and is presently residing at Basud, Camarines Norte. He is facing the crime of two counts of r**e.

Following his arrest, the suspect was properly informed of the nature of the charges against him and apprised of his constitutional rights in a language he fully understood. He was then brought to the Camarines Norte District Hospital for medical examination prior to his turnover to the appropriate custodial facility for proper documentation and disposition.

PBGEN Erosito N Miranda, Regional Director of PRO 5, extended his commendation to the operating units for their professionalism, coordination, and efficiency, which were instrumental in the successful arrest.

“This operation underscores the strong leadership of PRO 5 in driving effective and intelligence-led law enforcement operations.
