PNP Bacacay Conducts Information and Awareness Session for RCY Members
As part of its advocacy to promote a safe, respectful, and child-friendly learning environment, the Bacacay Municipal Police Station (PNP) conducted an information and awareness session for the 50 Red Cross Youth (RCY) members of Igang Elementary School on July 16, 2026.
The discussion centered on Republic Act No. 7610, otherwise known as the Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act, and Republic Act No. 9262, or the Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children (VAWC) Act of 2004. The session aimed to educate learners on child protection, respect for the rights of women and children, and the importance of preventing all forms of abuse and violence.
Through this initiative, learners were encouraged to become responsible individuals who uphold respect, empathy, and the protection of human rights, contributing to a safer school and community.
Igang Elementary School extends its sincere appreciation to the Bacacay Municipal Police Station for its continued partnership and commitment to empowering our learners through education and awareness.
Together, let us continue to foster a culture of respect, protection, and responsibility for every child and every member of our community.
