𝙄 𝙖𝙢 𝙙𝙚𝙚𝙥𝙡𝙮 𝙝𝙪𝙢𝙗𝙡𝙚𝙙 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙜𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙛𝙪𝙡 𝙩𝙤 𝙩𝙝𝙚 4,157 (𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙘𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜) 𝙞𝙣𝙙𝙞𝙫𝙞𝙙𝙪𝙖𝙡𝙨 𝙬𝙝𝙤 𝙥𝙡𝙖𝙘𝙚𝙙 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙞𝙧 𝙩𝙧𝙪𝙨𝙩 𝙞𝙣 𝙢𝙚. I never imagined that, at such a young age, I would earn the support of over four thousand people. This result has truly left me speechless.

𝗜 𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗷𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘆 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 — to serve sincerely and uplift the lives of the people of Bacarra — especially the youth. To have come this far without the power of money, but with the strength of conviction, is incredibly overwhelming.

𝘿𝙖𝙜𝙞𝙩𝙞 𝙥𝙖𝙙𝙖𝙠 𝙣𝙜𝙖 𝘼𝙜𝙩𝙪𝙩𝙪𝙗𝙤 — let this be a reminder that when your intentions are true, you don’t need to fear. Be brave, be committed, and never hesitate to dream of becoming a leader.

I want to share a simple but powerful moment with you. While campaigning at the picnic area in Bacarra, I took a quick break to sit down — when all of a sudden, a child came from behind and hugged me. 𝐍𝐨 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐬. 𝐉𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐚 𝐡𝐮𝐠.

𝙄𝙩 𝙢𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩 𝙨𝙚𝙚𝙢 𝙡𝙞𝙠𝙚 𝙖 𝙨𝙢𝙖𝙡𝙡 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜, 𝙗𝙪𝙩 𝙩𝙤 𝙢𝙚, 𝙞𝙩 𝙢𝙚𝙖𝙣𝙩 𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙮𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜.

Kailiak, our children are watching us. They know who truly cares. They feel who they can trust. That hug was more than just a child’s embrace—it was a message. A message that says: “𝐖𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐯𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐲𝐨𝐮. 𝐏𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐯𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐮𝐬 𝐭𝐨𝐨.”

I want to help create a Bacarra where every child has the chance to dream big—and to reach those dreams. Where education is strong, where children have safe spaces to grow, and where parents are supported—not just with words, but with real programs and services that help them raise strong, healthy, and hopeful kids.

Mga kakabsat, leadership isn’t about titles. It’s about being there—on the ground, in the community, ready to listen and ready to act. It’s about earning the trust of a child… through kindness, through sincerity, and through action.

That child’s hug reminded me of the kind of leader I want to be. Someone our children can look up to. Someone parents can rely on. Someone who doesn’t just promise a brighter future—but works hard to make it happen.
