DMMMSU-NARTDI Apimonitor VISION
A national center of excellence leading in the development of a globally competitive apiculture industry. OBJECTIVES
1.

In August 2001, through Republic Act 9151, the National Apiculture Research Training and Development Institute (NARTDI) based at the Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University (DMMMSU), was created to lead the beekeeping industry in the Philippines. MISSION
Promote research, and engage in extension and training activities. GOAL
Pursue and sustain the institutionalization and integration of apicu

lture in agro-ecosystems for national development. Develop and package apiculture technologies.
2. Educate farmers and other stakeholders through effective extension approaches and strategies.
3. Develop and promote quality honeybee products and by-products.
4. Sustain the efficiency and effectiveness of apiculture programs, projects, and activities.
5. Develop and implement policies, standards and procedures to promote the apiculture industry.

Bersamira, joined on-the-job trainees from the Abra State Institute of Sciences and Technology (ASIST) and Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State Universityโ€“South La Union Campus (DMMMSU-SLUC), together with participants of the three-day beekeeping training, in honoring the vital role of bees and beekeepers in sustaining life on the planet.

The activity served as a meaningful reminder of the importance of bees in promoting food security, conserving biodiversity, and supporting environmental sustainability. It also strengthened the participantsโ€™ shared commitment to responsible beekeeping, ecological awareness, and environmental stewardship.

Together, we learn. Together, we protect. Together, we bee for the future.
