In partnership with the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office - Negros Occidental, the Provincial Youth Development Office, Sowing Legacy Movement Inc, and National Anti-Poverty Commission Youth and Student Sector (NAPC-YSS), brought together youth leaders from the Sanguniang Kabataan (SK), Pag-asa Youth Association of the Philippines (PYAP), schools, and youth-serving organizations for the Youth Unbound: Streamlining Anti-Poverty Agenda Across the Province forum.

Held last October 19, 2024 at Nature’s Village Resort, Talisay City, this event is part of the observance of the National Week of Overcoming Extreme Poverty from October 17-23 of the year.

Key learning sessions included discussions on the Magna Carta of the Poor, led by Atty. Charles Mangga, and a presentation on the Youth Code, developed by CYAN, as well as the Model SK, presented by CM Roy Javilla.

NAPC's OIC-Director Nolan Banda, from the Basic Sectors Coordinating and Advocacy Service, emphasized the vital role of the youth in overcoming poverty, further strengthening the NAPC-YSS's commitment to youth leadership in this advocacy.

This event played an important role ensuring that the youth and students of Negros Occidental could directly engage in meaningful discussions on local issues related to the priority agenda set by the NAPC-YSS.
