WCPD personnel of this station under the supervision of PMAJ MARC JOEIL A RECLAMADO conducted a dialogue and coordination with school security guard of Luis Hervias National High School, Brgy Villamonte, Bacolod City.

The activity aimed to strengthen coordination between the school and the PNP, enhance campus security, and support the prevention of violence, bullying, sexual abuse, and other crimes affecting students.

This activity aims to raise public awareness on anti-rape advocacy, promote anti-bullying initiatives, and encourage the use of the 911 Safe NIR Hotline for reporting emergencies and seeking immediate assistance.

PRO NIR Opens Two-Day Regionalized Women and Children Protection Summit for WCPD Personnel

The Police Regional Office Negros Island Region officially commenced the Two-Day Regionalized Women and Children Protection Summit for WCPD personnel on June 29, 2026, at the Plenary Hall, Barangay Daro, Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental, bringing together Women and Children Protection Desk personnel from across the region to further strengthen their competence in protecting the rights and welfare of women and children.

The opening ceremony was graced by Ms. Farah Diba G. Gentuya, Provincial Director, DILG, who served as the Guest of Honor and Speaker, together with PCOL EVANGELINE P ORTIZ, Chief, Luzon Field Unit, WCPC, PCOL TIMMAR J ALAM, PD, NOrPPO and PCPT WILMA E SILVA, C, RWCPS, PRO NIR. It was attended by PLTCOL LIRIO C CORAL, C, PIDMU, NOrPPO, the participants, other Officers and personnel of PRO NIR.

A total of 105 participants attended the summit, composed of 14 personnel from Bacolod City Police Office, 8 from Siquijor Police Provincial Office, 44 from Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office, 32 from Negros Oriental Police Provincial Office, and 7 personnel from the Regional Headquarters.

The two-day summit serves as a platform for WCPD personnel to enhance their knowledge and skills through lectures and discussions on relevant laws, investigation procedures, case management, victim assistance, and emerging issues involving women and children. The activity also strengthens coordination and promotes the consistent delivery of gender-sensitive and victim-centered police services throughout the Negros Island Region.

Aligned with the SAFE NIR Program, PRO NIR remains committed to strengthen the capability of its personnel through continuous learning and specialized training. By investing in the professional development of WCPD personnel, the Regional Office reinforces its mission of deliver accessible, compassionate, and gender-responsive police service while building safer and more secure communities across the Negros Island Region.
