FUN FACT: Benigno “Ninoy” Aquino Jr. was a former Philippine senator and journalist. August 21 marks the anniversary of his death in 1983, and the date is observed as Ninoy Aquino Day.

Please be informed that Friday, August 21, 2026, is a Special (Non-Working) Day nationwide in observance of Ninoy Aquino Day, commemorating the death anniversary of former Senator Benigno “Ninoy” Aquino Jr.

Accordingly, there will be NO CLASSES on August 21, 2026.

This observance is pursuant to Republic Act No. 9256, which declares August 21 as Ninoy Aquino Day.

Classes will resume on the next regular school day.
Please be guided accordingly.

For the safety of the entire LHNHS community, all learners and members of the school community are reminded to strictly observe the following:

FOR LEARNERS
• Enter and leave the school only through designated gates and authorized access points.
• Present their valid school ID upon entry.
•Secure a temporary ID through the SSLG when their school ID is lost or undergoing replacement.
•Student-athletes participating in school activities are advised to wear their designated school/activity IDs.

FOR VEHICLES
• Authorized vehicles only. Vehicles entering the campus remain subject to applicable DepEd security inspection procedures.
• School personnel vehicles must have the school vehicle sticker issued through the SSLG.
• Student motorcycles and private vehicles are not permitted inside the campus.
• Taxis, Grab, and other ride-hailing vehicles shall drop off and pick up passengers outside the school gate, except in emergencies or for authorized school purposes.
