SYNOPSIS: Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) affecting Palawan, Visayas and Mindanao.

FORECAST:
Western Visayas including Negros Occidental and Bacolod City will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms due to the ITCZ.

Light to moderate winds from the East to Southeast will prevail over Visayas with slight to moderate seas.

Issued: 5:00 PM TODAY, 23 November 2018
SYNOPSIS: Northeast Monsoon affecting Northern Luzon. Meanwhile at 3:00 PM today, the center of Typhoon (MAN-YI) was located based on all available data at 1,495 km East of Central Luzon (OUTSIDE PAR) (15.4 N, 135.5 E) with maximum sustained winds of 145 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 180 km/h. It is moving Northwest at 25 km/h.
Forecast: Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers affecting Metro Manila and the rest of the country caused by Localized Thunderstorm.
Light to Moderate from the North to Northeast will prevail over Visayas & the rest of the country with slight to moderate seas.
Other forecast: Cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms will be experienced over Negros Occidental including Bacolod City.
Light to Moderate winds from the North to Northeast will prevail over Negros Island. Coastal waters will be slight to moderate.

Synopsis
THE SEVERE TROPICAL STORM WITH INTERNATIONAL NAME "MAN-YI" CONTINUES TO INTENSIFY NEAR THE NORTHERN MARIANAS AREA.

The center of Severe Tropical Storm "MAN-YI" was estimated based on all available data at 1,645 km East of Visayas (OUTSIDE PAR)(11.1°N,140.8°E)

Severe Tropical Storm "MAN-YI" has no direct effect on any part of the country at the moment. However, it may enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) this weekend and will be named "TOMAS". This tropical cyclone is expected to further intensify into a Typhoon in the next 24 hours.
The public and the disaster risk reduction and management council concerned are advised to monitor for the next update on this weather disturbance to be incorporated in the Public Weather Forecast at 4 PM today and 4 AM tomorrow. The next tropical cyclone advisory will be issued at 11 AM tomorrow.

TROPICAL DEPRESSION "SAMUEL" HAS SLIGHTLY INTENSIFIED AS IT MOVES WESTWARD OVER THE WEST PHILIPPINE SEA.
All Tropical Cyclone Warning Signals have been lifted. However, fisherfolks and those with small seacrafts are still advised not to venture out over the northern and western seaboards of Luzon.
“SAMUEL” is expected to exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) tonight.
