NCIP Educational Assistance Program (EAP) Screening and Interview for SY 2026โ2027
Under the leadership of Atty. Princess May A. Oral, Regional Director of the National Commission on Indigenous Peoples (NCIP) Regions VI & VII, the Negros Occidental Community Service Center successfully conducted the Educational Assistance Program (EAP) Screening and Interview on June 21, 2026, at the Indigenous Peoples (IP) Governance Center, Kabankalan City.
The activity was spearheaded by the Regional Screening and Selection Committee, composed of Ms. Vima Latoza, CAO II/Regional EAP Focal/Committee Member; Ms. Sheenah Querobin, representing Hon. Alex Centena, Ethnographic Commissioner of the Island Groups and the Rest of Visayas and Chairperson of the Regional Screening and Selection Committee; Mr. Allan U. Geagoni, CDO III and Committee Member; and Ms. Jinky Dequitar, Midwife II/NOCSC EAP Focal/Committee Member.
Out of 66 qualified applicants, 51 applicants successfully completed the screening and interview, while 15 applicants were recorded as absent. Following the evaluation process, 11 qualified applicants will be selected as beneficiaries of the NCIP Educational Assistance Program (EAP) for School Year 2026โ2027, subject to the established screening criteria and the available program slots.
The NCIP remains steadfast in its commitment to providing equitable access to educational opportunities for deserving members of the Indigenous Cultural Communities/Indigenous Peoples (ICCs/IPs). Through transparent and merit-based screening, the Commission continues to invest in the education and future of Indigenous youth, empowering them to become future leaders and catalysts for community development.
