The Development Administration Committee (DAC) of Negros Island Region (NIR) gathers today to discuss crucial policy areas to sustain good governance and expanding inclusive, innovative finance for its Second Quarter Regular Meeting at Citadines Bacolod City.
DAC NIR Chairperson and DILG NIR Regional Director Lailyn Ortiz is presiding the meeting. Among the agenda items include the 2024 Seal of Good Local Governance, Regional Development Report 2025 chapters, the push for PalengQR, and updates on the Real Property Valuation and Assessment Reform Act.
Beyond policy, the committee is also recognizing outstanding local achievements, such as Dumaguete Cityβs commendations as a UNESCO Creative City for Literature and the Safest City in the Philippines. By celebrating these milestones alongside vital administrative matters, including preparations for the RDC Week Celebration, the committee supports the RDCβs efforts to strengthen the intraregional linkages necessary for sustained progress in the countryβs youngest but promising region.
