AN OATH OF HOPE AND OWNERSHIP

Under the scorching heat in Escalante City, our Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries raised their right hands as one.

This is more than an oath before the law. This is an oath that the land they have tilled for decades will finally and rightfully be awarded to them.

Led by the Honorable Judge Enrique Maria Santiago B. Barcelona together with DARMOs Escalante C and D headed by MARPOs Marnellee B. Pelaez and Dolores M. Gorrez, ARPTs Alona M. Aguilar and Roy Saspa and SPLIT TSS Zearille Ello, 112 ARBs from Barangays Mabini, Libertad and Pinapugasan, Escalante City took their solemn oath as new landowners under the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program.

Every hand raised tells a story — of long waiting, of perseverance, and of justice that has finally arrived.

This is the true essence of Agrarian Reform — land for the tiller, dignity for the farmer.

​On Day 2 of the DAR Negros Island Region (NIR) Regional Wellness Activity 2026 at Panaad Park and Stadium, the men’s basketball team of DAR Negros Occidental 1-North put on an absolute show in a hard-fought, action-packed championship match this morning.

​Our ballers left everything on the court, showcasing remarkable grit, teamwork, and relentless heart right down to the final buzzer. More than the intense competition, this exciting showdown celebrated the true spirit of sportsmanship, camaraderie, and the unbreakable bond of the One DAR family.

This 2026, the Department of Agrarian Reform Negros Island Region (DAR NIR) takes part in PelikulAgraryo 2026 for the first time as an independent regional office.

Now on its second year, PelikulAgraryo, carrying the theme “Voices of the Liberated Land: Agrarian Stories and Lessons, Seeds of Legacy for the Youth,” brings stories of farmers, agrarian reform, and communities to the screen.

Following this morning's high-spirited motorcade and DAR ONE BEAT Zumba Party, the delegation of DAR Negros Occidental 1-North brought their A-game to the courts for the much-anticipated volleyball and basketball matches during the DAR Negros Island Region (NIR) Regional Wellness Activity 2026 at Panaad Park and Stadium.

​More than just a competition, this regional event is a celebration of friendship, unity, and physical well-being—ensuring that our NIR personnel stay active, healthy, and united in providing better service to our Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries (ARBs).

​The vibrant energy of DAR Negros Occidental 1-North filled the streets as personnel joined the official motorcade heading to the Panaad Park and Stadium, Brgy. Alijis, Bacolod City, marking the grand kick-off of the DAR Negros Island Region (NIR) Regional Wellness Activity 2026 today, September 1, 2026.

​Headed by Regional Director Lucrecia S. Taberna, this two-day NIR event is anchored on the theme “Strengthening Wellness, Camaraderie, and Gender-Responsive Service through Active and Healthy DAR Personnel.”
