SMARTER RECORDS, STRONGER ORGANIZATIONS: DAY 2 OF THE EXCEL-BASED ACCOUNTING WORKSHOP FOR NORTH NEGROS ARBS 💻📈

​The learning momentum continues on Day 2 as Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries (ARBs) from various ARB Organizations across North Negros press forward in Bacolod City.

​Today’s hands-on sessions focus on essential digital financial tools, starting with the recording of financial transactions to transition smoothly from manual record-keeping to Microsoft Excel.

Participants are also engaging in practical Excel-based journalizing through hands-on Excel encoding exercises, followed by the generation of financial statements to turn raw recorded transactions into clear, useful financial reports.

​Another productive day of learning means smarter financial records and stronger, more sustainable management for our ARB Organizations.

STRENGTHENING FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT: NORTH NEGROS ARBS KICK OFF 3-DAY EXCEL-BASED ACCOUNTING WORKSHOP ON DAY 1! 📊💻📈

​Today marks Day 1 of an intensive learning journey as Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries (ARBs) from various ARB Organizations across North Negros gather for the 3-Day Training Workshop on Basic Excel-Based Accounting System for Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries.

Running from October 7 to 9 and held at Bacolod City, the workshop is officially underway.

​Spearheaded by the Department of Agrarian Reform Negros Occidental 1, through the Program Beneficiaries Development Division (PBDD), the training is designed to sharpen essential skills in basic accounting, bookkeeping, Excel-based recording, financial statement preparation, and report interpretation.

Today's opening sessions kicked off foundational learning on computer skills and digital record-keeping tools, setting the stage for upcoming modules on transaction recording, journalizing, encoding exercises, and computing cooperative net surplus, interest on share capital, and patronage refunds.

EMPOWERING OUR WORKFORCE: DAR NEGROS OCCIDENTAL 1-NORTH HOLDS ORIENTATION ON VOLUNTARY SSS CONTRIBUTIONS 🏛️💼📋

​The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) Negros Occidental 1-North successfully held its orientation on the Voluntary Social Security System (SSS) Contribution this morning, October 6, 2026, in Bacolod City.

​The session gathered administrative officials, project staff, and Contract of Service (COS) personnel to discuss the voluntary deduction and remittance of contributions covering SSS, PhilHealth, and Pag-IBIG for government personnel. This important initiative ensures that our dedicated workforce is well-informed about social protection benefits that secure their future welfare and financial health.

​Team members unable to attend in person also joined the orientation virtually via Microsoft Teams, ensuring comprehensive participation across the office. Through continuous capacity-building and employee welfare programs, we remain steadfast in taking care of the people who power our public service.

Taking home the prestigious Best Provincial Booth Exhibit Award stands as a true testament to the hard work, dedication, and creativity of our Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Organizations (ARBOs).

Adding to this major milestone, the day also featured a significant Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) Signing Ceremony between DAR, DTI, and DOST, further strengthening our collaborative commitment to providing expanded opportunities, market linkages, and continuous support for our ARBOs.

This achievement truly belongs to everyone who made it possible, from our hardworking partners to our dedicated local producers. United as one, we continue to celebrate the success and progress of our agrarian reform beneficiaries.

On the second day of 1Negros ARBO Trade Fair 2026, DAR Negros Occidental 1-North and DAR Negros Oriental successfully wrapped up a fruitful afternoon lineup highlighted by essential ARBO Training Sessions 2 and 3.

These capacity-building sessions were facilitated by our valued partners from the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), equipping our Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Organizations with vital skills and knowledge for enterprise growth. To add to the excitement, lively and engaging fun games were also held as part of the program, bringing extra joy and interaction to participants and visitors alike.
