Abeto, as the Officer-in-Charge Provincial Director. BFAR Negros Occidental has 16 technical staffs, helping hand-in-hand to make the PFO functional. There are 2 Technical Staffs in the implementation of National Fisheries Projects. 1 Philip

pine National Aquasilviculture Project staff. 3 Fisheries Livelihood Development Technicians under TARGET Program. 1 Buttom-up Budgetting Staff. 1 technician for Freshwater Tilapia Hatchery and 6 Quarantine Staffs distributed to ports (Cadiz City, San Carlos City, Escalante City, BREDCO Port and Banago Port) and airport (Bacolod -Silay) in Negros Occidental. 1 Farm Worker ,1 Technical staff at Technology Outreach Station (TOS) located in Himamaylan City. There are also 15 Enumerators for the National Stock Assessment Program (NSAP) assigned in selected municipalities/cities of Northern and Southern Negros Occidental. Negros is known for its sugar production but in terms of fisheries sector, Negros is one of the highest shrimp producing island in the country.
