Quest successfully completed! 🐛📚

Balasahon Traveling Library has finally culminated in its very first location.🏆🗺️

Through the efforts of our resident librarians, we were able to hold a Book swap and Poetry Night to send off our traveling library to its new location.

We are immensely grateful for everyone who spent their Valentine's Day with us at the Natural Garden Cafe. Your presence to the community is a testament of love, and care to our campaign for a more climate informed youth, democratized learning, and accessable art to the community. ✊🏽💙

Whooo! 😅 It has been a very wonderful ride with you! On to our next location, are you ready to hop on for our next adventure?
Terrains will be much steeper, 🌄 rivers will be much longer, 🏞️ and mountains will be higher, ⛰️ but the journey in building a space for knowledge sharing for social, and climate justice continues. 🌞🌱

Hold tightly as we embark to a series of new and exciting quests. ⚔️🧭 Stay tuned!

We are inviting every questers, knowledge lovers, and community champions to join us to a day filled with love and sustainability. 🩵

- are interested to share and perform a poem, may it be your original or a piece written by your favourite poet– this valentine's night is also for you...

⚔️🌊 A Momentous Victory for the Youth of Pasil! 🌊⚔️

📍As part of the preparation for the Library’s second location 👀, the next set of Community Champion 💪🏼 was finally gathered and finished their training— ready for battle!

🤝 In-partnership with Victorias City Tourism Office and Pasil Fisherfolks Association, Balasahon Traveling Library were able to assemble the next librarians.

🌞 A series of capacity building through arts and meaningful discussions was held, with Climate 101 ⛅💦, Literary Workshops ✍🏼📜, a discussion on How to take care of the EcoTrail 🌳🏖️ led by their community leader, Mr. Eduardo Villanueva, and lastly a quick guide on how to take care of a Traveling Library. 📚💙 Which the librarians were able to successfully complete 💥

With new skills and enhanced talents, our Balasahon Librarians are ready to embark on yet another quest towards making a community with shared knowledge to achieve social justice ✊❗

🍽️🥤 Then go ahead and treat yourself to a hearty meal and a drink, prepared sustainably by Natural Garden Café's Staff

📚🎟️ With this, you can acquire a library card and you can borrow a book for a week.

Chronicle of the First Victory ❗✨📚

📍 On the day of November 15, 2025, the Balasahon Librarians successfully completed their first quest, “Visioning & Building.” 📜

After capacity building at the partner community Natural Garden, they tackled a whirlwind of training modules: Climate 101🌞, Disability Justice ♿✊, Sign Language Workshop 🧏🏆, and Maintaining a Library 📚📌.

The training was made possible because of our wisdom sharers: Coleen Awit of Climate Solutions, Negrosanon Young Leaders Institute, Inc. 🌞, Jannele Jimenez of Project Kapasan ♿✊, Joy Maylos of Welcome Home Foundation, Inc. 🧏🏆, and Edzel Napura of Balangaw Artists Collective 📚📌.
