The 8th First Aid Olympics 2026 has successfully concluded, bringing together different institutions in a meaningful showcase of first aid knowledge, rescue skills, teamwork, discipline, preparedness, and sportsmanship. MDRRMC 3rd Quarter Meeting 2026 🏛️🌿

The Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (MDRRMC) headed by the Municipal mayor and council chairman Hon. Eduardo G. Datu together with Vice mayor Ron Ervin Dungca, Sangguniang Bayan members and the MDRRM Officer Joel D. Samia convened for its 3rd Quarter Meeting on September 24, 2026, at the Municipal Executive Building

The Council reviewed recent weather conditions, rainfall and flood monitoring, EMS operations, rescue activities, and other disaster-related concerns in the municipality.

Discussions also focused on strengthening the municipality’s readiness and ensuring quick and coordinated action during emergencies.

QUEENIE SLIGHTLY ACCELERATES AS IT MOVES WEST NORTHWESTWARD OVER THE PHILIPPINE SEA.
• Location of Center (10:00 AM)
The center of Tropical Storm QUEENIE was estimated based on all available data at 860 km East of Extreme Northern Luzon (20.0°N, 130.2°E).
• Intensity
Maximum sustained winds of 75 km/h near the center, gustiness of up to 90 km/h, and central pressure of 996 hPa.
• Present Movement
West Northwestward at 25 km/h
• Extent of Tropical Cyclone Winds
Strong to gale-force winds extend outwards up to 400 km from the center
TROPICAL CYCLONE WIND SIGNALS (TCWS) IN EFFECT

HAZARDS AFFECTING COASTAL WATERS
➣ 24-Hour Sea Condition Outlook
Coastal waters have forecast wave heights of less than 2.0 m.
TRACK AND INTENSITY OUTLOOK
• It must be emphasized that heavy rainfall and severe winds may still be experienced in localities outside the landfall point and the forecast confidence cone. Refer to “Other Hazards affecting Land Areas” for more details. Furthermore, the track may still shift within the limit of the forecast confidence cone.
• QUEENIE will move west northwestward today before moving northwestward tomorrow (26 September) morning. By tomorrow afternoon, the tropical cyclone is forecast to decelerate as it begins to turn from northwestward to northeastward. On the forecast track, the center of QUEENIE will exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) between Sunday (27 September) afternoon or evening. Outside the PAR, QUEENIE will accelerate as it moves northeastward away from the country.
• This tropical cyclone will gradually intensify while inside PAR. It may reach typhoon category by Sunday.
Considering these developments, the public and disaster risk reduction and management offices concerned are advised to take all necessary measures to protect life and property. Persons living in areas identified to be highly or very highly susceptible to these hazards are advised to follow evacuation and other instructions from local officials. For heavy rainfall warnings, thunderstorm/rainfall advisories, and other severe weather information specific to your area, please monitor products issued by your local PAGASA Regional Services Division.
