YESTERDAY: The City Government of Bacoor, through the Local Economic Development and Investments Promotions Office (LEDIPO) in partnership with the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) Cavite, successfully conducted the Halal Awareness/Preparation Seminar yesterday at the 3/F Legislative and Disaster Resilience Building, Bacoor Government Center. The event was attended by different organizations, including the local MSMEs, representatives from Muslim Affairs, senior citizens, Homeowners' Associations (HOAs), and Civil Society Organizations (CSOs).
The said event was graced by Mayor Strike B. Revilla, Supervising Science Research Specialist of DOST Cavite, Ms. Anna Marie Daigan, and Mr. Khadafy Etado, the President of the Muslim Consultative Assembly. Topics about Food Safety, Halal Awareness, and Introduction to Shelf-Life and NutriFacts Testing and Halal Verification Laboratory were discussed during the seminar by Mr. Bernard Adante from the Office of the City Health Services, and Ms. Jasmin Hamid-Aquino and Ms. Jenny Bronburac from DOST CALABARZON, who discussed via Zoom, respectively.
