The 2026 Brigada Eskwela Kick-Off Ceremony was successfully held at Pacita Complex I Integrated School, marking the beginning of another year of collective action, volunteerism, and community partnership in support of quality education. The event was conducted in partnership with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) and gathered key leaders, stakeholders, and education partners from across the CALABARZON region.
The ceremony was graced by distinguished guests, including DOLE Secretary Hon. Francis N. Tolentino, Laguna Governor Hon. Mirasol Castillo Aragones-Sampelo, Laguna First District Representative Hon. Maria Rene Ann Lourdes G. Matibag, San Pedro City Mayor Hon. Art Joseph Francis Mercado, DepEd Assistant Secretary Delfin Villafuerte, and officials from the DepEd Regional Office IV-A CALABARZON led by Regional Director Carlito D. Rocafort and Assistant Regional Director Loida N. Nidea. Also present were Functional Division Chiefs, Regional Office representatives, Schools Division Superintendents, and representatives from all Schools Division Offices across the region.
The successful conduct of the event was spearheaded by the Schools Division Office of San Pedro City, under the leadership of ASDS and OIC-Schools Division Superintendent Phillip B. Gallendez, CESO VI, whose dedication and commitment contributed greatly to the meaningful launch of this yearโs Brigada Eskwela.
The gathering also highlighted the unwavering support of DepEd partners and stakeholders who continue to play a vital role in creating safe, clean, and learner-friendly school environments. In his message, Regional Director Carlito D. Rocafort officially declared the opening of Brigada Eskwela 2026, inspiring participants to strengthen partnerships and uphold the shared responsibility of preparing schools for the incoming academic year.
Following the opening program, attendees proceeded to their designated schools, where they actively participated in various school preparation activitiesโdemonstrating their commitment to the program and embodying the true essence of bayanihan.
As Brigada Eskwela 2026 officially begins, it serves as a powerful reminder that education is a shared responsibility. Through unity, volunteerism, and collaboration, communities come together to build not only better schools but also a brighter future for every Filipino learner.
