WHAT:
A CARAVAN in Celebration of the 47th Nutrition Month with the theme: "MALNUTRISYON PATULOY NA LABANAN, FIRST 1000 DAYS TUTUKAN" & the Distribution of the 2021 MENU GUIDE CALENDAR (based on Department of Science and Technology, Food and Nutrition Research Institute) a Guide to Complementary Feeding and Nutritious Family Meals

WHEN:
July 16, 2021 @1:00 p.m

WHERE:
Barangay Campo, Bacuag, Surigao del Norte (specifically the 12-Puroks)

WHY:
The main objectives of the activity is to:
a. raise awareness on the importance of first 1000 days as a golden window of opportunity for a comprehensive package of nutrition and related interventions, to achieve significant reduction in under and overnutrition while contributing to optional child development; and
b. advocate for interventions and services in the first 1000 days as mandated by Republic Act 11148 or the 'Kalusugan at Nutrisyon ng Mag-Nanay' Act of 2018

HOW:
The School Governing Council (SGC) and Supreme Student Government (SSG) with the collaboration of the MAPEH, TLE & Volunteered Teachers of Campo National High School will conduct a CARAVAN around the 12-Puroks of Barangay Campo to (1) Distribute A Menu Guide Calendar to every household having a zero to 3 years old child , and post it also to every Purok.

This advocacy aims to help every "SUPER NANAY" to be fully aware that Breastfeeding 🤱 is the best for their babies on its first 1000-days and be very cautious to every meal they gave to their young ones as they started to eat raw food. 🍛🥗🍱🍲
We are confident that the calendar can help improve the complementary feeding practices of parents, caregivers and health workers in preparing and serving appropriate complementary food that will meet a part of the nutrient requirements of infants and young children 6 to 8 months, 9 to 11 months, and 12 to 23 months old.

The said activity is very important and helpful to every Nanay raising a child specially nowadays that we are experiencing pandemic all over the world. We must be very watchful and careful in giving our children the proper nutrition their body needs to resists from the diseases.
