The personnel of the Philippine Coast Guard Academy actively participated in the PCG-Wide Simultaneous Oath Taking and Signing of Affidavit of Undertaking for the Non-Use of Dangerous Drugs under the PCG Zero Drug Tolerance Policy 2026 in support of the intensified campaign for a drug-free organization.

The activity was conducted in the presence of Commandant, Philippine Coast Guard, Admiral Ronnie Gil L Gavan PCG, reaffirming the organizationโ€™s commitment to discipline, integrity, accountability, and professionalism in public service.

Headed by Superintendent, PCG Academy, Commodore Paolo Z Abejuela PCG, the Academy personnel demonstrated unity and dedication in upholding the highest standards of moral responsibility and maintaining a safe, healthy, and drug-free workplace environment.

Personnel of the Philippine Coast Guard Academy, together with the Candidate Coast Guard Officers (CCGO) of Coast Guard Officersโ€™ Course (CGOC) Class 31-2025 โ€œBravoโ€ SIMLAYAG, actively participated in the MAAP Fun Run 2026 headed by the Valkereans, MAAP Class of 2016, held on 23 May 2026 at the MAAP Campus, and the AFPMBAI โ€œAkbay Dagat: Run for the Reefsโ€ conducted on 24 May 2026 at the Philippine Army Grandstand, Fort Andres Bonifacio, Taguig City.

The activity highlighted the participantsโ€™ commitment to physical fitness, environmental awareness, and strengthened partnership with fellow maritime and uniformed service institutions. The Coast Guard Education, Training and Doctrine Command (CGETDC) through the PCG Academy, formally commenced the Convening Ceremony of the Coast Guard Tactical Officersโ€™ Course (CGTOC) Class 09-2026 held at Legaspi Hall, Headquarters CGETDC, Muelle dela Industria, Farola Compound, Binondo, Manila on 21 May 2026.

The ceremony was highlighted by the presence of Vice Admiral Tito Alvin G Andal PCG, Commander, CGETDC as the Keynote Speaker, who emphasized the importance of leadership, discipline, and professionalism among future tactical officers of the Philippine Coast Guard.

Commodore Paolo Z Abejuela PCG, Superintendent, Philippine Coast Guard Academy, warmly welcomed the officers and participants to the significant occasion. In his message, he encouraged the students to embrace the challenges to complete the course with dedication, integrity, and commitment in service to the nation as they prepare themselves for greater responsibilities in the organization.

The Coast Guard Tactical Officersโ€™ Course aims to enhance the competence, leadership, and capability of Coast Guard Officers through intensive academic instruction and tactical training aligned with the mandates and mission of the Philippine Coast Guard.
