LORAN Bagamanoc LORAN, Panay Island, Bagamanoc, Catanduanes, Philippines This area used to be the base of the USCG LORAN station in Catanduanes (CATLORAN).

From 1951 to 1972, it was part of the Loran network that aided navigation in this part of the Pacific Ocean. The station sat on a hill whose top was flattened to accomodate the complex of about seven buildings and two concrete water tanks. The crew was composed of about 15 USCG personnel led by an Ensign or LTJG. Locals built their homes around the hill, and kids enjoyed amenities at the station i

ncluding free movies and a wide playground. We started developing the area during the early 2010. We put up cottages, nipa hut and comfort rooms for those taking the tour to enjoy the nice clean beach of Loran Station. The Loran Beach Resort is 30 mins boat ride from Bagamanoc, Presentacion Residence area. Entrance per head is P10 and Cottages is worth P100.
