A Meaningful Investment for Barangay Calumangan 💙🇵🇭

As part of the PBBM Bagong Pilipinas Barangay Presidential Scholarship Program, each barangay was allocated ₱200,000.00, with half dedicated to supporting five Presidential Scholars and the other half intended for local development projects that will benefit the community.
For Barangay Calumangan, our share has been put to good and practical use through the purchase of essential office equipment:

💻 Desktop Computer with Monitor and CPU

These equipment will help strengthen the daily operations of our Barangay Office and make our services more efficient, organized, and responsive to the needs of our fellow Calumanganons. They will be useful in preparing documents and reports, presentations, meetings, record-keeping, and other important barangay activities.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. for this valuable allocation. 🙏🇵🇭

🌟 PBBM SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM — CONGRATULATIONS, SCHOLARS! 🎓🇵🇭

Last May 28, 2026 we posted on our FB page about the PBBM Scholarship Program, and we are truly grateful for the overwhelming response. Out of 52 incoming fourth year college students applicants, only five (5) students were selected and granted the scholarship.
“The selection prioritized students who excelled academically, while also considering those from indigent families who are facing financial challenges.
We know that choosing only five among 52 deserving students was not easy, but we are proud to recognize those who excelled and demonstrated dedication to their studies.

Today, we proudly grant the PBBM Cash Assistance of ₱20,000 each to our five scholars. 🎓💙 The cash assistance was personally granted in the presence of our PUNONG Barangay Hon. Roberto C. Saylo, together with Kagawad Jelyn Akol, Kagawad Jimmy Candazo, and Kagawad Martizano Jalea Jr.

May this financial assistance help ease the burden of your educational expenses and provide you with the support you need as you continue pursuing your dreams. “KALINISAN SA BAGONG PILIPINAS PROGRAM MONITORING REPORT AND BARCO"

Barangay Calumangan proudly joined the Kalinisan Day and Barangay Road Clearing Operation— a community-wide initiative promoting cleanliness and environmental awareness.

The activity saw the enthusiastic participation of Calumangan Resettlement Village, clearing the areas along DBI Relocation Road, Ma. Morena Road and Dangal Road, together with Punong Barangay Hon. Roberto C. Saylo, the Barangay Council, Barangay Tanod, and Barangay Staff each showing their strong commitment to building a cleaner and healthier community.

👏 A big thank you to Kagawad Jimmy Candazo, Kagawad Jelyn Akol, Kagawad Marty Jalea, Kagawad Ariel Montaño, Kagawad Melba Montaño,Barangay Tanod, and the residents of Purok Verbina, Purok Crotonia, Purok Margarita, Purok Mahogany, Purok Sun Flower and Purok Rosas1, for their active support and teamwork!

🧹 Streets were swept, trash was collected, and communal areas received a fresh new look. The spirit of bayanihan was alive as neighbors worked hand in hand — proving that together, we can build stronger and cleaner communities.

🔥 A Call for Compassion and Bayanihan 🔥
Today, one of our beloved Calumanganon families experienced a heartbreaking tragedy when their home was completely destroyed by fire. Sadly, nothing was left of everything they had worked so hard to build.
In this difficult time, our PUNONG Barangay Hon. Roberto C. Saylo, together with the dedicated Barangay Staff, immediately extended assistance by providing relief goods and ensuring that the affected family has a safe place to stay tonight.
We would also like to express our sincere appreciation to Kagawad Melba Montaño, Kagawad Jelyn Akol, and Kagawad Jimmy Candazo for personally delivering the assistance and showing genuine care and compassion.
To our fellow Calumanganons, this is a heartfelt appeal. If you have unused clothing, food, blankets, kitchen utensils, appliances, sleeping mats, school supplies, or any items that are still in good condition, your donation can make a meaningful difference in helping this family rebuild their lives after this devastating loss.
Every act of kindness, no matter how small, brings hope to those who have lost everything.
Let us once again show the true spirit of bayanihan that makes our community strong. Together, we can help our fellow Calumanganon rise from this tragedy and begin anew.
