𝘽𝘼𝙔𝘼𝙉𝙄𝙃𝘼𝙉 𝙋𝘼𝙍𝘼 𝙎𝘼 𝙈𝘼𝙏𝘼𝙏𝘼𝙂 𝙉𝘼 𝙋𝘼𝘼𝙍𝘼𝙇𝘼𝙉

In line with the Community Engagement five (5) Focused-Agenda of the CPNP. Members of KKDAT / RSTU Cordillera, Personel from Rstu Cordillera Pnpts, and 20 P/T of PSFTP CL 2022-01 "MABIDANG" billeted at Monticello Camp 7, under the supervision of PLTCOL ARNOLD C DUGAS, OIC, RSTU Cor joined the Brigada Eskwela at Fort Del Pilar Elementary School, Fort Del Pilar, Baguio City in preparation for the coming school year 2023-2024 with the theme "Bayanihan Para sa Matatag na Paaralan".

𝐁𝐀𝐘𝐀𝐍𝐈𝐇𝐀𝐍 is one of the traditions in the Philippines that shows a true sign of community spirit where people come together to work as one.

𝘽𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙃𝙤𝙥𝙚 𝙩𝙤 𝙔𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙜 𝙃𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙩𝙨

August 11, 2023: KKDAT-RSTU Cor was given the opportunity to take part in a workshop for Hope at the Youth Home & Family Life Resource Center, Kayang St., Baguio City.

In a heartwarming display of unity and compassion, the Barangay Council for the Protection of Children in Irisan recently arranged a special event called "Hope for Me." This event aimed to bring hope and positivity to the children of Barangay Irisan, helping them envision a better future. Teaming up with partners like KKDAT-RSTU COR, Uplife, Barangay Irisan, and the Family-Life Resource Center, the initiative aimed to teach good values, offer encouragement, and create a sense of belonging for these young individuals.

The main theme of the event, "Hope for Me," captured its purpose: inspiring these youngsters to believe that they can overcome challenges and achieve great things. It brought various support groups together to guide the children in discovering themselves, becoming stronger, and feeling more empowered. By nurturing a sense of community and teaching important life skills, the collaboration between the Barangay Council for the Protection of Children and its partners has truly ignited a glimmer of hope in the hearts of those who needed it the most.

As the positive impact of the event continues to resonate, its message of hope and transformation reminds us that, with proper support and effort, a brighter future is possible for every child. The "Hope for Me" workshop demonstrates the strength of working together and inspires communities everywhere to uplift and empower those struggling, ultimately creating a society where every child can thrive and fulfill their potential.

"Wherever You Go, Arrive Alive"- Robert Domoguen, BABRC OIC

December 14, 2022- KKDAT RSTU-Cor plants trees for a cause.

The Department of Agriculture- CAR conducted a tree planting activity at DA-CAR Baguio Animal Breeding and Research Center compound, Dontogan, Baguio City. Through the invitation of Sir Friedy Sikwaten, KKDAT RSTU-Cor members took part in the activity to advocate against drunk driving.

Sir Robert Domoguen the BABRC office in charge, said, "We are planting trees to memorialize the life of our co-worker". The recent vehicular accident due to a drunk driver caused the loss of three innocent lives which prompted the office to spearhead such activity to raise awareness about the dangers of reckless acts and to raise funds for the family of one of the victims of the recent accident.

Thanks to the welcoming staff, KKDAT members were allowed to tour around the BABRC compound to make the most of their visit in the area.

KKDAT RSTU-Cor participates in the FIRST-EVER Youth Empowerment Philippines Conference 2022 held in the City of Baguio on November 26 at the Philippine Science High School Campus, Irisan.

Members of Kabataan Kontra Droga At Terosismo-Regional Special Training Unit Cordillera attended the conference with the theme: "BENT BUT NOT BROKEN" OUR COUNTRY NEEDS US brought by the Association of Filipino Youth for Civic Action (AFYCA), in cooperation with government sectors, communities, and organizations.

Participating youth enjoyed fun activities, explored other interests through booths, and learned a lot from the special guests: Daniel Espiritu, Ph.D. and Sohl De Guia, DHum., Th.D., and guest speakers Hon. Benjie Magalong and Sir Filverson Bad-ay to name a few. The youth were empowered knowing: there is strength despite hardships, they have a purpose, and that THEY ARE LEADERS OF TODAY and BEYOND.

United to Bring Smiles

At least thirty-five children from Sitio Bodengewngew, Datakan, Kapangan, Benguet benefited from the joint partnership from different sectors under the KASIMBAYANAN program of the Philippine National Police (PNP), August 27.

KASIMBAYAN stands for Kapulisan, Simbahan, and Pamayanan. It is a joint effort of the PNP, the church, and the community in bringing camaraderie to a better and peaceful community.

The program was organized by the Kabataan Kontra Droga At Terosismo-Regional Special Training Unit Cordillera (KKDAT-RSTU Cor) with the theme, "Sambayanan Mag Tulungan! Para Kalusugan ng Mamayanan ay Makamtan" under the supervision of Chief RSTU Cor, PCOL LEON TALLEO.

"Sapay kuma daytoy nga event ti KKDAT tayo ken KASIMBAYANAN, dapat agmaymaysa tayu kuma nga mangi-move ti maysa nga Pilipinas or maysa nga Kapangan for a community that is God fearing, people loving, and peace loving," Assistant Chief RSTU Cor, PLTCOL Ronnie R. Visco said in his message.

The success of the event was in collaboration with Kapangan Police led by PLT MELVIN CANTE, Peniel Full Gospel Ministries International Incorporated (PFGMI Inc) headed by Pastor John and Josie Aban, and Barangay Datakan Officials spearheaded by Barangay Captain Eduard Balags.

During the event, the children and the elders had the chance to taste the ManaPack Rice prepared by the host and PFGMI Inc. which is an excellent source of protein, carbohydrates, and key nutrients.
