RAIN OR SHINE WELLNESS NEVER STOPS
The school firmly believes that the well-being of both teachers and learners is essential in creating a positive and productive learning environment. Guided by the principle that "Rain or Shine, Wellness Continues, the school remains committed to sustaining its wellness initiatives regardless of the weather.
Every Wellness Friday after class, teachers actively participate in activities that promote physical fitness. During inclement weather, grade-level teams conduct Zumba sessions in their respective classrooms, while some male teachers engage in light strength training using dumbbells in the faculty room. On fair-weather Fridays, teachers gather for a school-wide Zumba session at the school grounds with Ms. Lilibeth Ampal, School Governance Council Alumni Representative and HrPTA officer, as the fitness exercise session coach; or enjoy brisk walking and stair-climbing exercises at the scenic Wright Park, encouraging an active and healthy lifestyle while fostering stronger collegial relationships.
Recognizing that wellness extends beyond physical health, the school also prioritizes the mental and emotional well-being of its personnel. A Learning Action Cell (LAC) session on Stress Management, facilitated by a resource person from Saint Louis University (SLU), provided teachers with practical strategies for managing stress, building resilience, and maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
The school's wellness program also extends to its learners. Every morning begins with Galaw Pilipinas, promoting physical activity, discipline, and readiness for learning. In the afternoons, some learners are given the opportunity to develop their creativity and confidence through ukulele classes, which enhance musical appreciation while contributing to their emotional and social well-being.
In the coming months, the school will continue to strengthen its Wellness Program by introducing additional activities that promote mental, emotional, recreational, and social well-being, fostering a healthier, happier, and more resilient workforce.
