As 2025 comes to a close, the Management Information Technology Division (MITD) proudly honors its dedicated staff whose commitment, expertise, and teamwork drive the digital operations of the City Government of Baguio.
Throughout the year, the MITD team played a vital role in developing and enhancing critical information systems, providing continuous ICT support to city offices, improving network and infrastructure, managing data initiatives, and sustaining smart city, governance, and service-delivery programs. These efforts form the backbone of efficient, responsive, and technology-enabled public service.
We extend special recognition to our technical personnel, who take on multiple critical roles across City Hall operations, network management, field-based special projects, and preventive maintenance. From ensuring system stability, security, and accessibility, to managing the cityโs network infrastructure, deploying and maintaining devices on the ground, and performing preventive maintenance to keep all ICT assets functional, their versatility and expertise have been essential to the cityโs digital operations throughout the year.
Special appreciation is given to the Smart City Command Center teams, including 911 operators, who handle emergency response coordination and assist with CCTV surveillance monitoring, and technical personnel overseeing technology operations and surveillance system maintenance. Their combined vigilance and dedication enable real-time monitoring, rapid incident response, data-driven decision-making, and uninterrupted city operations.
We also recognize our system developers, whose efforts drive the continuous development, enhancement, and maintenance of the cityโs critical information systems. Working behind the scenes, they design, integrate, and troubleshoot platforms that support daily operations and smart city initiatives. Alongside them, our industrial engineers play a vital role in process improvement, project coordination, documentation, reporting, data analysis, and operational support across the office's initiatives.
Appreciation is also extended to our drivers, whose reliable support ensures the safe and timely transportation of personnel, equipment, and resources for field operations and special projects. Likewise, the contributions of our On-the-Job Trainees brought energy, enthusiasm, and fresh perspectives that strengthened the team throughout the year.
Above all, our deepest appreciation goes to our division leaders, Mr. Camarao, Mr. Tampoc, and Mr. Vinluan, for their exemplary leadership, guidance, and support throughout the year. Their direction has been instrumental in coordinating the teamโs efforts, ensuring smooth operations, and achieving the milestones that define MITDโs success in 2025.
Furthermore, the successful staging of the Baguio Smart City Convergence 2025 stands as a collective achievement of the MITD team, reflecting months of planning, coordination, technical ex*****on, and operational support, alongside other key milestones accomplished throughout the year.
As the year comes to a close, we celebrate the people behind all these, the MITD staff whose professionalism, dedication, and service-driven mindset make innovation possible. We look forward to building on these achievements, advancing even greater milestones, and approaching 2026 with renewed commitment, passion, and teamwork.
