Laughter, Learning, and Team Spirit Mark Day 3 of INSET 2026 || Teachers engage in meaningful discussions, interactive programs, and fun-filled activities for professional growth and learner development.
The third day of the INSET 2026 became another remarkable and meaningful gathering filled with energy, collaboration, and productive learning experiences among teachers. The program was led by the Grade 5 Teachers together with the ever vibrant and active Master Teacher, Chadrey T. Madume, who entertained everyone through his wit, humor, and lively hosting. A series of exciting activities brought the venue alive as teachers participated enthusiastically in games and interactive segments that truly set the atmosphere on the move and groove. Adding excitement to the roll call, each grade level proudly rendered their powerful sports yell showcasing teamwork, creativity, and unity. Of course, the ever energetic School Head, Joseph A. Estigoy, also amazed everyone with his unbeatable yell representing the office, leaving the participants full of laughter and enjoyment throughout the program.
The first speaker, Emmanuel B. Caranto, shared insightful discussions about Khan Academy and its positive impact on both teachers and learners. Khan Academy is a free educational platform that provides interactive lessons, practice exercises, and personalized learning opportunities across various subjects. Through this platform, teachers are given access to innovative teaching tools and learner progress monitoring, allowing them to address the needs of every student effectively. For learners, Khan Academy promotes independent learning, critical thinking, and mastery of skills through engaging and self-paced activities that make learning more meaningful and enjoyable. The highlight of his discussion was the sample Game Quiz activity where teachers actively participated and enjoyed the engaging application despite minor challenges with the internet connection.
Meanwhile, the second speaker, Catherine L. Cangoy, discussed the Department of Education ARAL Program. The ARAL Program of DepEd aims to provide learning interventions and academic support to learners who need additional assistance in improving their literacy and numeracy skills. It focuses on helping struggling learners cope with lessons through structured remediation and guided instruction. The program also strengthens collaboration among teachers, parents, and the community to ensure that no learner is left behind.
In addition, Mam Catherine also shared meaningful insights about Social Emotional Learning (SEL) and its importance in education. Social Emotional Learning helps learners develop self-awareness, emotional regulation, empathy, positive relationships, and responsible decision-making. Through SEL, learners become more confident in expressing themselves, managing stress, and understanding the feelings of others, which contributes to a healthier and more positive learning environment. For teachers, SEL becomes an essential approach in understanding learners deeply and guiding them not only academically but also emotionally and socially. Indeed, teachers play a vital role in helping learners feel heard, valued, and supported inside and outside the classroom.
Not only were the minds of the participants filled with knowledge, but everyone also enjoyed the delicious, satisfying, and generously served food that truly delighted the teachers throughout the day.
During the afternoon session, Mark A. Garcia shared about the KAAGAPAY Program of DepEd. The KAAGAPAY Program is an initiative that promotes support, guidance, and intervention for learners’ welfare and holistic development. It aims to strengthen the connection between schools, teachers, parents, and communities in providing care and assistance to learners who need academic, emotional, and social support. Through this program, learners are encouraged to feel safe, motivated, and empowered in their educational journey.
Lastly, our Administrative Officer, Vivian V. Delos Reyes, discussed important policies, DepEd Orders, and employee-related forms concerning teachers and school personnel. Various clarifications, questions, and concerns regarding situations encountered by teachers were also addressed, providing guidance and clearer understanding among the participants.
The Day 3 INSET officially concluded with productive learnings, meaningful discussions, collaborative participation, and memorable experiences that truly enriched the professional growth of every teacher present.
