RECOVERY OF TWO MOTOR VEHICLES REPORTED AS “FAILED TO RETURN” IN BAGUIO CITY.
At around 5:00 PM of May 13, 2026, personnel of the Regional Special Operations Team (RSOT) of the Regional Highway Patrol Unit – Cordillera Administrative Region (RHPU-CAR), led by the Chief Investigator together with other operating personnel, successfully recovered two motor vehicles reported as “Failed to Return” during an operation conducted at Camp 7, Kennon Road, Baguio City.
The recovery was conducted by virtue of a blotter entry, investigation report, and notarized complaint sheet filed by the complainant before the concerned authorities. Acting on information received regarding the whereabouts of the subject vehicles, the operating team immediately proceeded to the area to verify the report.
Upon confirmation, the team located and recovered a Toyota Fortuner and a Suzuki Jimny, both reportedly owned by the complainant. The vehicles were found parked inside the garage of the possessors in the said area.
The operating personnel informed the possessors regarding the complaint filed against them and furnished them with copies of the police report and complaint sheet. Thereafter, the possessors voluntarily surrendered the subject motor vehicles to the authorities.
Subsequently, the recovered vehicles, together with the possessors, were brought to the RHPU-CAR Office for proper documentation, verification, and further investigation. The recovered motor vehicles are now under the custody of RHPU-CAR, while corresponding Temporary Impounding Receipts (TIR) and Temporary Inventory and Inspection Reports (TIIR) were issued accordingly.
