𝘋𝘪𝘥 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘬𝘯𝘰𝘸?

Bamboo comprises almost 99% of a giant panda’s diet! Giant pandas are native to the Southern and Central regions of China where bamboo forests are abundant, so they have evolved primarily to consume bamboo even though they are taxonomically classified as carnivores.
Out of the 1,642 known bamboo species in the world, pandas only eat 42 species!

We're still accepting entries for our bamboo photo contest!

𝗥𝗘𝗠𝗜𝗡𝗗𝗘𝗥:
Each contestant can only submit one (1) photo taken by a digital camera or a smartphone. Entry must be the contestant’s original work. Post processing of the image is 𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 cropping and color enhancements, including shadows and highlights only. Photo manipulation is 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗱.
