📌 𝗗𝗜𝗗 𝗬𝗢𝗨 𝗞𝗡𝗢𝗪?

Under the Half-Rice Ordinance (Ordinance 16-2017), all food establishments in the city are required to offer their customers a half-cup option at half the price on their menus and display visibly in their establishments a "Half-Cup Rice Available Here" signage.
This is in support of the "Be RICEponsible" campaign of the DA-PRRI and to minimize rice waste.

⚠️ Failure to comply may result in the following penalties:
- 1st Offense: Php 1,000
- 2nd Offense: Php 3,000
- 3rd Offense: Php 5,000 and cancellation of business permit

IN PHOTOS || Training on Sustainable Garden Management and Landscaping

July 7-8, 2026 - The Baguio Teachers Camp organized a two-day Training on Sustainable Garden Management and Landscaping and invited the Baguio City Veterinary and Agriculture Office (CVAO)-Urban Agriculture Services Division personnel as the resource speakers-facilitators, held at the Quirino Hall, Baguio Teachers Camp.

A total of 25 groundskeepers and gardeners were trained. The activity was conducted as part of the Teachers Camp's continuing efforts to maintain the highest standards of service and cleanliness at Baguio Teacher Camp.

Engr. Marcelina Tabelin, Supervising Agriculturist; John Rey Gayaso, Agriculturist I; Patrick Carl Darato, Agriculturist I; and John Mark Alabat, Project Technical Assistant II, all from CVAO; and Judith Asan, Wood, Rock and Flowers Group, Inc. Representative, discussed and facilitated the following topics: Nursery Operations, and Plant Propagation Techniques, Gardening Management, Sustainable Practices and Soil Management, Practice on Occupational Health and Equipment Safety Procedures, and Practices. In addition, free seeds and IEC materials were distributed to the participants.

✅ Participation is open to registered: Farmers' Cooperatives and Associations (FCAs), Individuals, Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), Sustainable Livelihood Program Associations (SLPAs), and Startup processors.
✅ Applicants may choose either of the following options:
- On-site Registration: Visit the CVAO Office to fill out the application form.
- Online Submission: Fill out the application form and send it via email or Facebook Messenger.

IN PHOTOS || Hydroponics Training for Barangay Health Workers (BHWs) of Baguio City

July 3, 2026 - In celebration of , with the theme "Nutrisyon at Kalikasan, Ating Pangalagaan," the Baguio City BHW Federation, in collaboration with the Baguio City Veterinary and Agriculture Office (CVAO) - Urban Agriculture Services Division, conducted a Training for at the Health Services Office.

John Rey Gayaso, CVAO Agriculturist I, along with Tanner Bulso and Zeny Pagnas, provided an overview of hydroponics, including demonstrations. A total of 120 BHWs participated in the training.

The activity aimed to enhance the knowledge and skills of the BHWs in sustainable food production through hydroponics and to promote household and community-based vegetable gardening. Additionally, this initiative supports the city's nutrition-sensitive and environmentally friendly programs.
