SK IRISAN โ In a bid to promote environmental awareness and proper waste management, Kesha S. Osngao, a student volunteer from the Philippine Science High School โ CAR Campus, collaborated with the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) of Irisan to conduct a "Clean-Up Drive with a Twist" on May 28, 2026, from 7:30 AM to 11:00 AM.
The community-led initiative focused on cleaning and proper waste segregation across three strategic locations: the Old Barangay Hall, Cypress Waiting Shed, and Idogan Court, leading up to the Material Recovery Facility (MRF). Volunteers systematically sorted items, placing plastic and glass bottles, as well as boxes, into the MRF, while residual wastes were properly consolidated for the scheduled collection day.
The activity concluded with a brief closing program where participants were awarded certificates of participation and a prize from the organizers. The success of the event was made possible through the active mobilization of local youth, alongside members of the Intern Youth Organization and the Kayaw di Umili Dance Ensemble.
