A new journey for these siblings has begun. A home where they can feel safe, cared for, and supported, is finally here.
Prior to placement, a case conference was conducted with Helping Hands Healing Hearts Ministries Philippines Inc, the licensed foster parent, and RACCO social workers. The conference served as a meaningful space to discuss the childrenโs background, personality, medical and psychological needs, and any special care requirements. It also gave the foster parent the opportunity to ask questions and better understand the children they would soon welcome into their home.
The foster parent was also given the opportunity to visit the children before placement. This pre-placement visitation helps build initial rapport and trust, ease the childrenโs anxieties, and prepare both the children and foster parent for the transition into their new foster home.
Every step in foster care is carefully taken with the best interests of the children at heart. From understanding their needs to building connections before placement, each moment helps create a smoother and more meaningful transition.
