First of all, I really loved the world-building and how it was written. It was easy to get into. At the beginning, I was lowkey annoyed with Feyre because she can be so stubborn haha but I ended up liking how her story developed. I also appreciate how even the side characters were given attention.

I’m really hoping Lucien gets his own moment in the next books… like please give this man a love story 😭 I kinda want to ship him with Elain? Or maybe even Nesta because her personality is so strong. I don’t know, I just want Feyre’s sisters to be more involved in the next books.

The book overall was really good, but I have to say.. the “sexy, daring” comments I kept seeing didn’t fully match what I felt while reading. I didn’t really get that strong smutty vibe people were talking about. If anything, I felt more tension with Feyre and Rhysand.

And honestly… Rhysand did more for Feyre than Tamlin ever did 😭 so as of now, I’m fully Team Rhysand. I can’t wait to read the rest of the series!!

In the middle of the book, a lot was happening, but at the same time it felt like nothing was really happening.. I can’t fully explain it?!! I also felt like the mental illness wasn’t represented that well and the word “crazy” was used WAY toooo much!

The main character was so gullible it honestly got on my nerves 😭 but anyway… I freaking loved Spider-Dan lol.

Overall, I still enjoyed it. Freida’s books are such easy reads, which makes them really hard to put down (even though I finished the book after weeks 🥲)

Halfway through the book, I already knew that wasn’t the real plot twist yet because let’s be real, Freida McFadden would never give it away that easily.

And then I hit the (Pa)tricia chapter… and that’s when it got me. That instant “ah f*ck, I knew it” hahahaha I have to admit, that twist was good. But honestly? The ending ruined it a bit for me. It felt disappointing compared to how strong that reveal was.

Pero I can’t deny she got me hooked.. just wish the ending had hit as hard as that chapter did.
