🌏 THIRD QUARTER NATIONWIDE SIMULTANEOUS EARTHQUAKE DRILL (NSED) 2026

The Municipality of Bagulin, under the leadership of Hon. Virgilio C. Flor, Municipal Mayor, through the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO), in coordination with the Bagulin Municipal Police Station (PNP) and Bagulin Fire Station (BFP), successfully conducted the Third Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) on September 10, 2026, at 2:00 P.M.

The activity aimed to strengthen earthquake preparedness and response capabilities, enhance the coordination and readiness of participating offices and responders, and promote awareness among municipal employees on the proper safety measures to observe during an earthquake. It also provided an opportunity to practice the “Duck, Cover, and Hold” procedure and assess the effectiveness of existing emergency response protocols.

Through the active participation and cooperation of all municipal employees, concerned personnel, and partner agencies, the NSED reinforced the importance of preparedness, coordination, and collective action in saving lives and reducing the impact of earthquakes and other disasters.

Preparedness is everyone’s responsibility. Together, let us continue building a safer, more resilient, and disaster-ready Municipality of Bagulin. 🌏🤝

PUBLIC ADVISORY 📢

​Pursuant to Malacañang Memorandum Circular No. 132, classes at all levels and work in government offices in the Province of La Union are suspended today, AUGUST 28, 2026 (1:00 PM), in anticipation of the further enhancement of the Southwest Monsoon by the Low Pressure Area that entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility.

​Suspension of work in private companies is left at the discretion of their respective heads of office.

Offices providing essential services, such as health, disaster risk reduction, and emergency response, will remain fully operational.

Face-to-face classes are suspended in all levels, from Daycare to Senior High School, due to the prevailing weather conditions.

Classes will shift to Modular Distance Learning (MDL).

Everyone is advised to stay safe and remain updated on further official announcements.

🚧 PGLU-PDRRMO AUGMENTATION IN CLEARING OPERATIONS | BAGULIN, LA UNION 🚧

The Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU), through the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO), provided valuable augmentation and assistance in conducting clearing operations in affected areas of Bagulin, La Union.

The Municipality of Bagulin, headed by Hon. Virgilio C. Flor, extends its sincere appreciation to the PGLU-PDRRMO personnel for their immediate response, manpower, and support in clearing road obstructions and helping restore safe and accessible roads for the residents of Bagulin.

This collaborative effort demonstrates the importance of strong coordination, cooperation, and unity in disaster response, especially during times of continuous weather disturbances. 💪🌿
