April 4, 2026 marks the third day of the Semana Santa observance, through the leadership of Honorable Mayor Virgilio C. Flor. Continuous monitoring, roving operations, and maintenance of cleanliness in key areas are being diligently carried out to ensure public safety and order.

Through the strong collaboration and coordination with partner agencies BFP, PNP, barangay officials, and interns—these efforts are made more effective and responsive to the needs of the community.

Our heartfelt appreciation is extended to all personnel for their unwavering dedication, cooperation, and selfless commitment in serving the public.

Isinagawa noong Abril 2–3, 2026 ang SUMVAC Semana Santa Operations sa pangunguna ni Mayor Virgilio C. Flor. Naging matagumpay ang koordinasyon at sama-samang pagkilos ng Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, Municipal Health Office, PNP, BFP, at mga Barangay Officials upang matiyak ang kaligtasan, kaayusan, at kapayapaan ng komunidad sa paggunita ng Semana Santa.

Ipinakalat ang mga roving teams sa iba’t ibang lugar upang magsagawa ng pagbabantay at agarang pagtugon sa anumang pangangailangan ng publiko. Patuloy pa rin ang pagsubaybay at pagbabantay hanggang sa araw ng Linggo, bilang bahagi ng pagpapatibay ng seguridad at kaayusan sa buong selebrasyon.

Taos-pusong pasasalamat sa lahat ng responders at volunteers na naglaan ng oras at dedikasyon para sa kapakanan ng mamamayan at ng mga bisita.

Pagpupugay para sa mga BDRRMCs ng Bagulin! 👏
Maraming salamat sa inyong aktibong pakikiisa sa 1st Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) noong Marso 12, 2026 alas 3:30 ng hapon. Sama-sama nating pinagtitibay ang kahandaan ng ating komunidad upang maging mas ligtas at handa sa anumang sakuna.

The Municipality of Bagulin, under the leadership of Mayor Virgilio C. Flor and through the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) headed by Melvin Orodio, successfully conducted the First Quarter Nationwide Earthquake Drill on March 12, 2026, at 3:30 P. M.

The activity was conducted in coordination with Bagulin Fire Station headed by SFO4 Elvis Gagtan and Bagulin Police Station headed by Pcpt Marvin Pasiwen. It aimed to strengthen earthquake preparedness by ensuring that the community is equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to respond effectively during emergencies.

The MDRRMO, together with the BFP and PNP, lauded the active participation of employees to perform the standard emergency protocol: DUCK, COVER, and HOLD to ensure a safer and more prepared Bagulin.

Team Bagulin proudly represented the Municipality of Bagulin in the La Union Provincial RescueLympics 2026, successfully completing all the tasks at each station through unity, coordination, and teamwork. The challenges tested and strengthened the team’s ability to stay calm, work harmoniously, reinforcing trust, cooperation, and effective communication among its members.

Through this participation, the MDRRMO reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to continuous learning, skills enhancement, teamwork, and operational readiness. The RescueLympics serves not only as a venue for competition but also as an opportunity to exchange knowledge, learn best practices, and further strengthen the capabilities of responders in effectively managing emergencies and disaster situations.

We extend our sincere gratitude to our Municipal Mayor, Virgilio C. Flor, for his steadfast support and dedication to strengthening the disaster preparedness and response capabilities of the Municipality of Bagulin. His leadership continues to inspire and empower the MDRRMO in fulfilling their mission to protect lives, safeguard property, and promote a culture of resilience within the community.

This activity not only strengthened teamwork among the members but also fostered camaraderie among participating municipalities, showcasing the spirit of “La Union Agkaysa”—unity and cooperation—through the initiative of the Provincial Government. It highlights the importance of collaboration, solidarity, and shared commitment in building safer, more prepared, and disaster-resilient communities.

Bagulin Shines Again as Gawad Kalasag Awardee

The Municipality of Bagulin has once again received the prestigious Gawad Kalasag Award for the third time through the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO).

Under the leadership of Municipal Mayor Hon. Virgilio C. Flor,MDRRMC Chairperson the Municipality of Bagulin remains steadfast in strengthening disaster risk reduction initiatives and in building safer, more resilient communities for all.

The award was formally received by Hon. Edmund S. Sadac and Melvin G. Orodio LDRRMO III, on behalf of the municipality dated December 17, 2025 at Bauang North Central School Sports Complex, Bauang La Union.This recognition affirms the municipality’s consistent compliance with national disaster risk reduction and management standards and its strong commitment to preparedness, mitigation, response, and recovery.

The award reflects the collective efforts of the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (MDRRMC), Barangay Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Commitees (BDRRMCs), partner agencies, barangay officials, responders, and volunteers who work tirelessly to ensure the safety and resilience of the community.
