It can primarily be reached by taking the Naguilian-Bagulin Provincial Road or, alternatively, by minor roads from San Fernando City, San Juan or Burgos. Befitting this off-the-beaten-path destin

ation, the 4x4 off-the-road challenge is being offered to adventurous visitors wherein they can venture into Bagulin’s untamed interior landscapes. Backpackers will find Bagulin an ideal spot for trekking and camping with such sites as Tagudtud People’s Park, Loslosi Falls and Kedlap Burial Cave in Allabok which, with its cultural significance, was declared a National Cultural Treasure in 1977. Another site of note is Barangay Cardiz, La Union’s highest point where one can find Tili Ti Nuang Falls. Aside from its natural wonders, the municipality is resplendent with indigenous folklore. Bagulin was said to have been named after Bago, a daring highlander, Ulin, a beautiful lass from the lowlands, and their son Bagulin who grew up to become the best chieftain that ever ruled the community. 𝗟𝗚𝗨 𝗕𝗮𝗴𝘂𝗹𝗶𝗻 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗯𝘂𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗥𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗳 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗙𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗔𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝘆 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗪𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗯𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝘀

The Municipal Government of Bagulin facilitated the distribution of relief assistance to families affected by the recent Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) and its associated weather-related impacts.

With the support of the Provincial Government of La Union, relief resources were provided to augment the municipality’s assistance for affected families.

The distribution included 300 boxes of food packs, 76 boxes containing three bottles of 6-liter mineral water each from the Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU), and 1,553 boxes of food assistance from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).

Through the coordinated efforts of the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO), Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO), and barangay officials, the assistance was distributed to affected families based on assessed needs and the extent of the impact in their respective communities.

The Municipal Government of Bagulin expresses its sincere appreciation to Governor Mario Eduardo C. Ortega and the Provincial Government of La Union, as well as the Department of Social Welfare and Development, for extending much-needed assistance to the affected families of Bagulin.

Under the leadership of Mayor Flor, the LGU Bagulin remains committed to ensuring a timely, organized, and responsive delivery of assistance to communities in times of emergencies and calamities.

Based on the latest DOST-PAGASA Weather Advisory, La Union is under a 50–100 mm rainfall outlook today, August 19, due to the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat.

🌧️ Tomorrow, August 20:
50–100 mm rainfall outlook also covers La Union.
⚠️ Forecast rainfall may be higher in mountainous and elevated areas, and impacts may be aggravated by rainfall experienced in previous days.

Residents of Bagulin are advised to remain alert for possible flooding, landslides, and other rain-induced hazards, especially in vulnerable areas.
