Celebration of the National Flag Days

Pursuant to Republic Act No. 8491, also known as the “Flag and Heraldic Code of the Philippines”, the City Government of Olongapo shall commemorate the celebration of the National Flag Days from 28 May to 12 June 2026.

Relative thereto, all offices are encouraged to organize and participate in the following activities:

1.) Proper display of the Philippine Flag in office premises.
2.) Attend weekly flag-raising ceremonies at Rizal Triangle.
3.) Conduct information, education, and communication initiatives that honor the Philippine flag as the symbol of our country’s sovereignty, unity and shared history.

Ngayong ika-124 Araw ng Manggagawa, ang Komisyon sa Serbisyo Sibil ay nagbibigay-pugay sa lahat ng manggagawang patuloy na naglilingkod nang may puso, dangal, at galing para sa bayan.

🚫 Government employees are now prohibited from engaging in ANY FORM OF GAMBLING.

The Civil Service Commission (CSC) issued Resolution No. 2600111, which bans government officials and employees from participating in gambling activities—whether in person or online, and regardless of location or time.

Prohibited acts include:

🎰 Entering or staying in casinos and gambling establishments
💻 Engaging in online gambling such as online casinos, e-bingo, and e-sabong
🎲 Participating in or organizing any other gambling activity

The policy aims to strengthen integrity in public service and uphold the principle that public office is a public trust.

The resolution was published today in The Philippine Star and will take effect 15 days after publication.
