Education Secretary Juan Edgardo “Sonny” Angara Visits Bais City National High School

Education Secretary Juan Edgardo “Sonny” Angara visited Bais City National High School on August 20, 2026, to check on the school’s programs and initiatives, lead the turnover of new laptops, and listen to the concerns and recommendations of education stakeholders.

He was warmly welcomed by Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Bernadette A. Susvilla, together with DepEd-NIR Assistant Regional Director Atty. Anthony Liobet.

Also present were Mayor Luigi Marcel T. Goñi, together with City Councilors Rina J. Goñi, Manol Yoldi, and Anthony John De Guia, who reiterated the City Government’s strong commitment to public education, identifying it as one of the administration’s priority programs.

Governor Manuel “Chaco” Sagarbarria also joined the visit and shared with Secretary Angara the Provincial Government’s plan to install solar facilities in all public schools across the province.

The visit underscored the shared commitment of national, provincial, and local government leaders to strengthen public education and provide schools, teachers, and learners with the resources and support they need.

Benchmarking Visit of the City Government of La Carlota to the City Government of Bais

The City Government of La Carlota, headed by Mayor Jose Luis Jalandoni, together with First Lady Dr. Erwina Frances Jalandoni, City Councilors Jojo Jalandoni, Kapid Badillo, Wacky Polo, Jan-jan Abad, Stephen Simbit, and several department heads, paid a benchmarking visit to the City Government of Bais, today, August 20, 2026.

The delegation was warmly received by Mayor Luigi Marcel T. Goñi, City Councilors Manol Yoldi and Anthony John De Guia, PLTCOL Jul Mohammad L. Jamiri, Executive Assistant Jed Goñi, and IT Officer Bigjet Ybañez.

The visit focused on the sharing of best practices, experiences, and innovative approaches in local governance, as well as benchmarking on programs and initiatives that may be adapted to further enhance the delivery of services in their respective communities.

Following the discussion, the delegation proceeded to the Bais Training Center in Barangay Consolacion for a site visit and further learning exchange.

Benchmarking Visit of the City Government of Victorias to the City Government of Bais

The City Government of Victorias, headed by PESO Manager Faith B. Bacucang, together with City Engineer Mary Jean Majaducon, Executive Assistants IV James Gulmatico and Kathly Gubatayao, Construction Foreman Reymart Pulgado, and PESO Staff Donnel Casilagan, paid a benchmarking visit to the Office of the City Mayor.

The delegation was warmly received by Atty. Izra Elita C. Singson, Culture and Arts Officer Rolin C. Obina, PESO Manager Bemar D. Torres, and Executive Assistant Grace J. Ferraren.

The visit aimed to provide the City Government of Victorias with an opportunity to learn from the best practices, experiences, and approaches of the City Government of Bais in the establishment, development, management, and operation of a training center.

Bais City – Conduct of School Safety and Security Symposium

The School Safety and Security Symposium was conducted at the Bais Evacuation Center and Multipurpose Facility, attended by students, faculty, and staff of Bais City National High School.

The activity was spearheaded by the Philippine National Police (PNP)–Bais City to provide students with essential knowledge and awareness on school safety and security measures.

The symposium emphasized the importance of vigilance, preparedness, and cooperation in maintaining a safe and secure learning environment for everyone.

The 3rd Day and Culmination of the Mayor Luigi Hudyaka Open Pickleball Tournament 2026 Season 3 was successfully held yesterday, August 16, 2026, at the Bais City Evacuation Center.

The tournament brought together pickleball enthusiasts and players from different areas in a spirited display of sportsmanship, camaraderie, and competitive excellence. The successful culmination highlighted the continued support of the City Government of Bais for sports development and programs that promote an active and healthy community.

Congratulations to all the players, organizers, officials, volunteers, and supporters who contributed to the success of the Mayor Luigi Hudyaka Open Pickleball Tournament 2026 Season 3! 🏓👏

Enchanted Voices XIV Temporarily Cancelled

Due to the untimely demise of the founder and executive director of Enchanted Voices, Mr. Oyvinthon Valencia, we would like to inform the public that Enchanted Voices XIV is TEMPORARILY CANCELLED.

We urge everyone to observe a time of reverence and say a prayer for the eternal repose of one of Bais City’s most talented and generous sons. And to remember him fondly through his legacy in music and student development.

We would like to assure everyone that the Local Government Unit of Bais will make sure that what Mr. Valencia has started will be continued and fully supported.
