A meaningful step forward in protecting our rich marine biodiversity.

Today, April 12, 2026, our Tourism Officer Kurt Constantine Celis met with Dr. Louella Dolar and her team of marine biologists to discuss the proposed comprehensive study on the abundance or marine mammals in the Tañon Strait. This research is an initiative of the Tañon Strait Protected Seascape - Protected Area Management Office (TSPS-PAMO) im collaboration with the Institute of Environmental Studies (IEMS) of Silliman University and the Provincial Tourism Office of Negros Oriental, led by Provincial Board Executive Director Woodrow Maquiling Jr.
