DECEMBER 19, 2025 @ BEYENG, POBLACION, BAKUN, BENGUET
The Local Government Unit of Bakun carried out a simple yet deeply meaningful act of compassion at Beyeng, Poblacion, reaffirming its commitment to inclusive and responsive governance. The initiative extended vital assistance to a family whose parents had long been cohabiting without a marriage certificate, as well as to seven (7) individualsโincluding the childrenโwho previously had no civil registry documents.
In a solemn and dignified ceremony, Municipal Mayor Hon. Fausto T. Labinio officiated the civil wedding of the couple, formally recognizing their union and granting them long-awaited legal identity and security.
Complementing this milestone, a series of Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) sessions were conducted by the Municipal Civil Registrarโs Office, the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office, and the Municipal Health Office. These sessions highlighted the importance of civil registry documentation, family planning, and informed decision-making, underscoring responsible parenthood as a cornerstone of strong and healthy families.
The program was initiated by Municipal Civil Registrar Ms. Bernanda N. Alam-am and made possible through the collective support and cooperation of the SB Members and various municipal office, alongside generous donations and assistance that ensured the successful implementation of the program.
This endeavor embodies the true spirit of Binadangโa shared commitment to uplift one another through unity and service. As we continue to champion the Bakun Kalinga Program, we move closer to building a healthier, safer, and more resilient community where no one is left behind.
The Local Government Unit of Bakun extends its heartfelt gratitude to everyone who supported this program through financial assistance, prayers, manpower, organizational efforts, and moral support. Your generosity and collective commitment made this initiative possible and meaningful.
Gabay Bakun!
