BATAAN PNP CELEBRATES RETIREMENT HONORS FOR PLTCOL ORBISTA AND PEMS SAMBAT

The Bataan Police Provincial Office paid tribute to PLTCOL DENNIS R ORBISTA and PEMS CHRISTOPHER B SAMBAT during a retirement ceremony, the “Salamat Kapatid,” held on August 21, 2026, at 3:00 PM at the Conference Room of Camp PFC Cirilo S Tolentino, Balanga City, Bataan. Family members, fellow police officers, friends, and colleagues gathered to honor PLTCOL ORBISTA's more than 25 years and PEMS Sambat’s more than 23 years of dedicated service to the Philippine National Police. During the ceremony, both retirees shared meaningful stories from their law enforcement journey, including the experiences, challenges, and lessons that shaped their commitment to public service, peace and order, and their deep appreciation for the people of Bataan whom they had faithfully served.

In her message, Provincial Director PCOL MARITES A SALVADORA expressed her heartfelt gratitude and admiration for the dedication and invaluable contributions of PLTCOL ORBISTA, who served as our DPDO, and PEMS Sambat as a personnel of Bataan PPO. She emphasized that retirement is not the end of one’s mission, but the beginning of a new and meaningful chapter—one that provides more time for family, personal growth, new opportunities, and continued service to the community in different ways. The “Salamat Kapatid” ceremony served as a fitting tribute to their legacy, recognizing not only their years of honorable service but also the lasting impact they have made on their families, fellow PNP personnel, and the communities throughout Bataan.

On August 21, 2026, at about 2:30 PM, PCOL MARITES A SALVADORA, Provincial Director of the Bataan Police Provincial Office, warmly welcomed the visit of local media personalities Mr. Rod Izon of DZMM and Mr. Danny Cumilang of DZRH at the Kapanalig Lounge, Camp Tolentino, Balanga City, Bataan.

During the visit, PCOL SALVADORA highlighted the JBM Patrol System initiative of PBGEN JESS B MENDEZ, Regional Director, PRO 3, which promotes collaborative patrol efforts between the police and barangay force multipliers to help ensure peace, order, and public safety across Bataan.

She likewise shared the recently concluded launching of the JBM Patrol System held earlier in the Municipality of Hermosa, underscoring its role in strengthening police-community partnership.

PD BATAAN LEADS LAUNCHING OF JOINT POLICE–BPATs MOBILIZATION TO STRENGTHEN CRIME PREVENTION IN HERMOSA

On August 21, 2026, at 10:00 AM, Provincial Director PCOL MARITES A SALVADORA led the launching of the Joint Police–Barangay Peacekeeping Action Teams (BPATs) Mobilization (JBM) Towards Crime Prevention, organized by the Hermosa Municipal Police Station under the leadership of PMAJ KENNETH LONGAN, Chief of Police. Held at the MDRRMO Training Hall, San Pedro, Hermosa, Bataan, the activity gathered around 46 participants composed of barangay officials and BPAT representatives from various barangays of Hermosa. Hon. Mayor Anne Lorraine Adorable Inton, together with Hon. Angelito N. Narciso, Peace, Order and Public Safety Sangguniang Bayan Member, Hon. Emerito B. Villafania, ABC President, and other barangay officials, expressed their support for the initiative and emphasized the importance of active community participation in maintaining peace and preventing crime.

In her message, PCOL SALVADORA highlighted the vital role of strong police-barangay partnerships, emphasizing that barangay officials and BPAT members serve as important force multipliers and community partners in maintaining peace, order, and public safety. An interactive open forum followed, where participants discussed various barangay concerns on responsible parenthood and response operations, which provides an opportunity to exchange insights and strengthen local anti-criminality efforts. The initiative reflects the Bataan Police Provincial Office’s continuing commitment to empowering communities and strengthening BPATs as active partners in crime prevention and peacekeeping, consistent with the guidance of PRO3 Regional Director PBGEN JESS B MENDEZ toward responsive, people-centered, and community-driven police service throughout Region 3, in line with the Bagong PNP para sa Bagong Pilipinas: “Serbisyong Mabilis, Tapat at Nararamdaman.”

PHP 475K ILLEGAL DRUGS SEIZED; 11 ARRESTED IN BATAAN PNP ONE-DAY OPS

In its intensified campaign against illegal drugs, the Bataan Police Provincial Office, under the leadership of PCOL MARITES A SALVADORA, Provincial Director, successfully seized PHP 475,132.00 worth of illegal drugs and arrested eleven (11) drug suspects in a series of anti-illegal drug operations across Bataan on August 19, 2026.

Based on the reports submitted to PCOL SALVADORA, the Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) of Mariveles MPS conducted a buy-bust operation that resulted in the arrest of six (6) drug suspects and the confiscation of 50 grams of shabu with a Standard Drug Price (SDP) of PHP 340,000.00 in Mariveles.

Meanwhile, Dinalupihan SDEU arrested one (1) drug suspect and seized 8.8 grams of shabu with an SDP of PHP 59,840.00 and 2.8 grams of ma*****na worth PHP 336.00.

Further, Balanga CPS SDEU confiscated 5.2 grams of shabu with an SDP of PHP 35,360.00 and arrested one (1) Street Level Individual (SLI) in Balanga City, while Abucay SDEU arrested two (2) drug suspects in a buy-bust operation and confiscated 3.51 grams of shabu worth PHP 23,868.00. In addition, operatives of Morong MPS arrested another SLI and confiscated 2.3 grams of shabu with an SDP of PHP 15,728.00.

The arrested suspects are now under the custody of their respective police stations for proper documentation and disposition, while criminal charges for violation of RA 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, are being filed before the court.

This accomplishment reflects the Bataan PNP’s sustained and intensified commitment to suppressing the proliferation of illegal drugs and ensuring safer Bataan through relentless anti-illegal drugs operations with the full support of PBGEN JESS B MENDEZ, Regional Director, PRO 3 and in line with the guiding principle of PGEN JOSE MELENCIO C NARTATEZ JR, Chief PNP, “Bagong PNP para sa Bagong Pilipinas: Serbisyong Mabilis, Tapat at Nararamdaman”.

In its intensified campaign against insurgency, the Bataan Police Provincial Office, under the leadership of PCOL MARITES A SALVADORA, Provincial Director, successfully facilitated the voluntary surrender of two (2) former members of a Communist Front Organization (CFO) in Brgy. Cupang Central, Balanga City, Bataan, on August 19, 2026.

Based on the report submitted to PCOL SALVADORA, joint operatives of the Bataan 2nd PMFC, together with the Bataan 1st PMFC; Limay MPS; Orion MPS; Mariveles MPS; Pilar MPS; Bagac MPS; Morong MPS; Bataan PIU; RID 3; Bataan PIT; RIU 3 (Intel Packet); NICA 3; 302nd MC, RMFB 3; 23 SAC and 25 SAC, 2nd SAB, PNP SAF; and 84 IB, 72 MICO, and 7 MIB, PA conducted an intelligence operation that led to the disaffiliation and voluntary surrender of the two former CFO members in Central Luzon.

PCOL SALVADORA encouraged remaining members and supporters of left-leaning groups to return to the folds of the law and avail themselves of government programs designed to support their peaceful reintegration into the community and provide opportunities for a new beginning.

This accomplishment reflects the harmonious relationship and growing trust between the police and the community, as individuals are encouraged to cooperate with authorities and choose the path of peace. FORMER REBEL SURRENDERED TO BATAAN PNP WITH FIREARM AND EXPLOSIVE

In its relentless campaign against local communist armed conflict, the Bataan Police Provincial Office, under the leadership of PCOL MARITES A SALVADORA, Provincial Director, successfully facilitated the voluntary surrender of a former rebel at the Bataan 1st PMFC Headquarters, Camp PFC Cirilo S Tolentino, Balanga City, Bataan on August 19, 2026.

Based on the report submitted to PCOL SALVADORA, joint operatives of the Bataan 1st PMFC, Bataan PIT, RIU 3 (Intel Packet); Bataan 2nd PMFC; Bataan PIU; 302nd MC, RMFB 3; Bataan MARPSTA; NISG-NL; RID 3; 23 SAC, 2 SAB, PNP SAF; 69IB; 72 MICO; CIDG Bataan PFU; and 84th IB, PA conducted an intelligence operation that resulted in the voluntary surrender of a former member of MASO/OSA under the Lino Blas Command, Bagong Hukbong Bayan, under CPP-NPA-NDF, operating in Bataan.

As a manifestation of his complete withdrawal of support from the communist movement, the former rebel surrendered one (1) improvised 12-gauge shotgun, two (2) live shotgun shells, and one (1) rifle gr***de.

This accomplishment reflects the Bataan PNP’s sustained commitment to ending local communist armed conflict and fostering lasting peace in the province, with the full support of PBGEN JESS B MENDEZ, RD, PRO 3, and in line with the Focused Agenda of PGEN JOSE MELENCIO C NARTATEZ JR, Chief, PNP.

2nd PMFC, Tarlac PPO— In line with the Whole-of-Nation Approach under Executive Order No. 70 (NTF-ELCAC), personnel of 2nd PMFC Tarlac (lead Unit), together with Mayantoc Municipal Police Station, PIU TPPO, 3rd Mechanized Battalion, 304th Maneuver Platoon, and 302nd Brigade, PA, SAC 23 (support units), successfully executed an intelligence-driven operation on August 20, 2026. The targeted operation yielded significant gains for regional peace initiatives, facilitating the voluntary surrender of a Former Rebel (Militiang Bayan) through the influence of certain KA Clara (surrenderer), an armed member of the organization. The subject reveals that he became
a messenger that was tasked to deliver food, medicine, financial, and ammunition to the
movement “kilusan” in the area of San Jose Tarlac.

Under the decisive leadership of PBGEN JESS B MENDEZ, Regional Director, PRO 3, and Chairperson of the RTF-ELCAC 3 TWG, the campaign for lasting peace in Central Luzon continues to gain momentum.

This success highlights the effective collaboration within the Joint Regional Task Force 3 (JRTF3) and the unwavering commitment of our police force to encourage rebels to return to the fold of the law.

BATAAN LEADERS IN ACTION: PD PCOL SALVADORA REPORTS BATAAN PNP’S PEACE AND ORDER INTERVENTIONS DURING THE LMP MONTHLY MEETING

On August 20, 2026, at 11:00 AM, the League of Municipalities of the Philippines (LMP) Bataan Chapter held its monthly meeting at Nico’s Mountain Hideaway, Barangay Liyang, Pilar, Bataan, with the presence of Hon. Governor Jose Enrique S. Garcia III. The meeting was hosted by the Pilar LGU, headed by Hon. Mayor Charlie Pizarro. During the meeting, Provincial Director PCOL MARITES A SALVADORA presented the Bataan PNP’s continuing peace and order interventions, including the Joint Police, Barangay, BPATs Mobilization (JBM) Patrol System, the upcoming Multi-Stakeholder Summit on Violence in Schools Committed by Learners and Other Emerging Threats, as well as initiatives on disaster preparedness and community safety.

Municipal Mayor of Hermosa, Hon. Anne Adorable Inton, expressed her appreciation to PD PCOL SALVADORA for the Bataan PNP’s prompt response and relief operations for residents affected by flooding in Hermosa. The meeting focused the strong collaboration among the Bataan PNP, and the Local Government Units in promoting peace and order, strengthening disaster preparedness, and ensuring responsive and compassionate public service to communities across the province.
