The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Bataan, through Negosyo Center Pilar, in partnership with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD)-Pilar, Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO) – Pilar, and the Local Government Unit of Pilar, successfully conducted a “Beaded Bonsai Skills Training” for 40 Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) Parent Leaders on May 28, 2026, held at the MDRRMO Evacuation Center, Pilar, Bataan.
The activity aimed to provide participants with practical skills in beaded bonsai making as an alternative livelihood opportunity, helping them explore potential microenterprise ventures and additional sources of income for their families.
The training was facilitated by JO3 Lexalene L. Almario of the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP), who shared technical knowledge and hands-on guidance on the proper techniques and creative processes involved in beaded bonsai production.
Through this initiative, DTI Bataan continues to strengthen its commitment to empowering communities by providing livelihood skills training that promote self-reliance, financial stability, and sustainable entrepreneurial opportunities for 4Ps beneficiaries.
