The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Bataan, through Negosyo Center Pilar, in partnership with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD)-Pilar, Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO) – Pilar, and the Local Government Unit of Pilar, successfully conducted a “Beaded Bonsai Skills Training” for 40 Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) Parent Leaders on May 28, 2026, held at the MDRRMO Evacuation Center, Pilar, Bataan.

The activity aimed to provide participants with practical skills in beaded bonsai making as an alternative livelihood opportunity, helping them explore potential microenterprise ventures and additional sources of income for their families.

The training was facilitated by JO3 Lexalene L. Almario of the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP), who shared technical knowledge and hands-on guidance on the proper techniques and creative processes involved in beaded bonsai production.

Through this initiative, DTI Bataan continues to strengthen its commitment to empowering communities by providing livelihood skills training that promote self-reliance, financial stability, and sustainable entrepreneurial opportunities for 4Ps beneficiaries.

Empowering the next Generation of Entrepreneurs!

The Department of Trade and Industry successfully conducted the Youth Entrepreneurship Program (YEP) – “You Can Be Your Own Boss” at Limay Polytechnic College, Limay, Bataan last May 18–21, 2026.

This 4-day activity was filled with informative lectures, fun and engaging activities, and an exciting business pitching session that highlighted the different aspects and opportunities that aspiring young entrepreneurs should learn and explore.
Through this program, students were encouraged to develop their entrepreneurial mindset, enhance their creativity, and discover their potential in starting and managing their own businesses in the future.

A heartfelt thank you to LPC College President Sir Elmer B. De Leon and Dean John Levy Rueda for accommodating and assisting us in bringing this meaningful program to the students of Limay Polytechnic College.

The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Bataan successfully conducted a Trainers’ Training on the “How to Start a Small Business” module for 67 Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Bataan Municipal Links on May 14, 2026, at the 1Bataan PRRMO Training Center.

In partnership with DSWD Bataan, headed by Provincial Link Elena G. Fones and Social Welfare Officer III Kristine M. Morales, the activity aimed to equip the 67 Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) Municipal Links with essential entrepreneurial knowledge and skills. The training sought to strengthen their capability to guide and empower 4Ps beneficiaries through self-help groups and livelihood initiatives toward sustainable income-generating opportunities.
