Mayor Carlo Castor U. Concepcion goes around different barangays in Balaoan on August 6, 2026, to check on communities and assess the situation on the ground as Tropical Cyclone affects the municipality.

Barangay officials are likewise on duty in their respective areas, monitoring conditions and attending to residents who may need assistance.

The municipal government continues to coordinate with barangays and monitor developments to ensure a prompt response to emerging needs. Residents are advised to stay informed through official advisories and take necessary precautions for their safety.

| RED RAINFALL WARNING AND SIGNAL NO. 2 RAISED OVER BALAOAN 🔴🚨

As of 11:00 AM today, DOST-PAGASA has placed the Municipality of Balaoan under a Red Rainfall Warning alongside Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal (TCWS) No. 2 due to Tropical Depression . Torrential rains, with an expected accumulated rainfall of 100-200 mm, are currently prevailing and are expected to cause serious flooding in low-lying areas and severe landslides in mountainous zones.

Residents in high-risk areas are strongly directed to evacuate immediately to designated safe zones. All others must stay indoors, suspend travel, and ensure emergency kits and communication devices are ready.

| Signal No. 2 Raised Over Balaoan

Tropical Depression has placed the Municipality of Balaoan under Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal (TCWS) No. 2.

Residents are advised to take immediate precautions against gale-force winds and heavy rainfall, stay indoors, and suspend non-essential travel until further notice.

As of 2:00 PM today, 04 August 2026, the Low Pressure Area (LPA 07f) (formerly "LUIS") being monitored inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) has dissipated.

Another Low Pressure Area (LPA 08a) is being monitored inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) and now has a "HIGH" chance of developing into a tropical depression within the next 24 hours.

Meanwhile, Typhoon "DOLPHIN" is being monitored outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR).

All are advised to monitor updates from DOST-PAGASA.
