BUILDING A SAFER, MORE CONNECTED, AND MORE RESILIENT BALATAN
In the face of climate change, flooding, and other calamities, our people need more than promisesβthey need concrete action, sustained preparation, and projects that make a real difference.
Under the leadership of Mayor Domingo T. Abliter, the LGU continues its nonstop work to improve connectivity, mitigate flooding, strengthen disaster preparedness, and keep our communities and road networks safe and accessible.
This continuing effort is made possible through the strong collaboration of our local government leadership and our partners in government.
Our sincere appreciation goes to the Sangguniang Bayan, through its Presiding Officer, Vice Mayor Leonardo "Jhun" Narito Jr., for the various authorizations, resolutions, and approvals that have allowed these important projects and measures to move forward.
We are equally grateful for the strong and bankable support of our very own Congressman, Hon. Miguel Luis R. Villafuerte, whose assistance continues to help bring vital projects and resources to our municipality.
Likewise, our heartfelt thanks to the Provincial Government under the leadership of Gov. Luis Raymund F. Villafuerte Jr. for its continuing support and partnership with Balatan.
This is what strong collaboration looks like: the Legislative Branch providing the necessary support and authorities, our Congressional and Provincial partners extending vital assistance, and the Executive making sure that plans are implemented and that the benefits are felt by our people.
ποΈ PROJECTS AND ACTIONS THAT MAKE A DIFFERENCE
1. LAGANAC FOOTBRIDGE β COMPLETEDπ Barangay Laganac
Connecting Zone 3 and Zone 4 of Barangay Laganac, this footbridge provides residents with safer and more convenient access while strengthening connectivity within the community.
2. TWO BRIDGES WITH INTEGRATED EARLY WARNING SYSTEM β COMPLETEDπ Barangays Cabungan and Montenegro
The construction of two bridges equipped with an integrated Early Warning System, a project of FRS Philippines for LGU Balatan, provides improved access while strengthening our communitiesβ preparedness for flooding and other hazards.
3. LULUASAN SPILLWAY WITH BOX CULVERT β 60% COMPLETEDπ Serving Luluasan, Pararao, and Camangahan
Now at approximately 60% completion, the Luluasan Spillway with Box Culvert is already making a difference.
During flooding, the Luluasan Spillway serves as the ONLY ACCESS connecting the three barangays of Luluasan, Pararao, and Camangahan.
When floodwaters and with no other routes, this passage becomes a vital lifeline for these three communities, allowing residents to continue accessing their homes and communities despite flooding.
Even before full completion, its importance is already being felt.
This is not simply a construction project. It is connectivity, accessibility, disaster preparedness, and resilienceβall in one vital infrastructure.
π NONSTOP FLOOD-MITIGATION AND ROAD-CLEARING OPERATIONS
But our work does not stop with infrastructure projects.
The LGU continues its nonstop declogging and clearing operations in drainage systems, waterways, roads, and other critical areas to help prevent or reduce flooding, keep water flowing, and maintain safe and passable roads and highways.
These operations are carried out as part of our continuing effort to keep our communities preparedβespecially during periods of heavy rain and severe weather.
Before the rains. During the rains. After the rains.
Our teams remain ready to clear obstructions, unclog waterways and drainage passages, and address areas that may pose risks to motorists and residents.
Because flood mitigation is not a one-time project.
It is a continuing responsibility.
These accomplishments and continuing operations demonstrate what can happen when government works together with one purpose.
Mayor Domingo T. Abliter and the Executive β implementing, responding, and delivering.
Vice Mayor Leonardo L. Narito Jr. and the Sangguniang Bayan β providing the legislative authorities and support.
Congressman Miguel Luis R. Villafuerte β extending vital assistance and resources.
Governor Luis Raymund F. Villafuerte Jr. and the Provincial Government β strengthening the partnership.
Different roles. One direction.
The safety, welfare, and future of the people of Balatan.
We build today.
We clear today.
We prepare today.
We act today.
Because when the waters rise, our people deserve more than promises.
They deserve safe roads.
They deserve access.
They deserve protection.
They deserve action.
WALANG HINTAYAN. TRABAHO AGAD. SERBISYONG TULOY-TULOY.
Para sa mas ligtas, mas handa, mas konektado, at mas matatag na Balatan. ππͺ
