Last November 25, 2025, The Global Warming and Climate Consciousness Week 2025 Symposium concluded with an eye-opening and deeply relevant discussion led by Dr. Mary Grace DC Padua, PhD, Supervising Ecosystems and Management Specialist of the Province of Aurora. Dr. Padua emphasized the urgent realities behind global warming and climate changeโbreaking down their fundamental principles, environmental processes, and the human-driven triggers that intensify their effects. Her clear explanations helped students connect science with the real-world environmental issues faced by our communities today.
Beyond understanding the problem, Dr. Padua also empowered the students with actionable ways to contribute to environmental protection. From mindful consumption and waste reduction to youth-led climate advocacy, she reminded everyone that meaningful change begins with everyday choices. Her message highlighted the critical role of young people in safeguarding our surroundings, our environment, and our planet for generations to come.
The symposium was followed by the Awarding Ceremony for the National Environmental Awareness Contest Winners, recognizing students who showcased excellence, creativity, and commitment to environmental advocacy.
