Day 1 of the seminar featured Atty. Recson B. Bangibang as the resource speaker, who discussed the Salient Features of Gender-Based Violence (GBV), the Safe Spaces Act (Bawal Bastos Law), the Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children (VAWC) Act, and the Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act.

The session strengthened participants' understanding of key laws that promote gender equality, protect individuals from gender-based violence, and foster safe, inclusive, and gender-responsive workplaces and communities.

The Gender and Development Focal Point System (GFPS) successfully conducted its 2nd Quarter Meeting, bringing together GFPS members to discuss important GAD initiatives and plans for stronger and more inclusive governance.

Key agenda included the reorganization of the GFPS through an Executive Order, preparation of the CY 2027 GAD Plan and Budget, updates on CY 2026 GAD Fund Utilization, and the review and endorsement of the CY 2027 Barangay GAD Plan and Budget.
